Very simple one for me. Gotta get Henderson back into midfield for the next game. Ideally Fabinho would join him in there too but needs must and he will have to continue at centre back.
Must bring in Kabak for next game and for rest of season. I would also go as far as to say drop Thiago. As good as a footballer he is, he isn’t suiting our style at present. Thiago, Jones, Shaquiri are excellent, quality footballers but our recent success had not been built on playmaking midfielders. Energy and quicker passes into space is what is needed.
We need to get the most out of our 3 strikers. Reason we look so poor and pedestrian is that we are not shifting the ball quick enough to them. And strikers thrive off getting something to run for. You can only make one run at a time and when the ball doesn’t come strikers will start coming short and try to link up...exactly what we don’t need.
I firmly believe Henderson back in midfield driving on again will be a catalyst for way out of this situation. Quickly too before the rot really sets in.

The first player to be droped should be thiago. Everyone can see it.
He cant tackle, yellow card within a minute. He takes too many touches and just plays sidewards. Just another jorgino for me.

Its not working.
Get Hendo and Fab back in the middle now. We bought 2 cbs lets use them.
The midfield trio of gini, jones, thiago is too pedestrian.
The gamble now should be play our strongest team plus 2 actual CBs.

I think just moving one is enough for now. Say philips. But get hendo in midfield.
Yes the same hendo that alot of people are the forst to criticise and say he is rubbish.

We'll go for the same line up as today. Lump crosses into the box and then Leicester will hit us on the break.
Just don't see the point of signing 2 CB's and playing neither. 1 didn't even make the squad today FFS!

Kabak into defence and Henderson into midfield, either for Wij or Jones.
Really hope Jota is back soon as I can't bear watching Firmino at the moment, it's painful.

Thiago before the injury was immense. In that time we have dropped form drastically. Now he's back, we can't expect him to carry the team when everyone else is playing below par. I don't have any stats but the backward pass rate between Robertson, Wynaldum and Jones must have been thru the roof. The most off form person appears to be Manè. From being an absolute unplayable alien, he's turn into a shadow of himself.

No problem with Thiago in that team, just needs to be played further forward.
Bring in the two centre half's, get Henderson and Fabinho back into midfield.
Not sure we have much to lose in doing that, as the current set up is obviously not working.
Get our heads down, try and secure top 4, and somehow win the CL just to p 155 on some people's glee at our downturn in the league. 😉

I agree above about winy jones and robertson. I think 90% of passes were crabbing or backwards.
Robertson at one point looked like he had a bet on to see if he could go the game without any forward passes. Its pretty hard though when mane won't make a run for him.
