The only positive I think City would have got from signing him would have been as a substitute at 70 minutes when he would be desperate to score a goal. It is a period of the game when City tend to declare and rest on their laurels a bit.

To an outsider, Ole will be remembered for scoring a goal in a European final, Ronaldo (in a United context) will be remembered for the massive transfer fee when he was sold to Real Madrid.

Zidane has said he isn't interested, he wants a top club. I suspect they will go for another club legend. Steve Bruce is available and would suit a mid table club. See how Ronnie gets on with him.
