That will do nicely

Handled the best front 3 in the world for 92 of the 93 minutes, battered them in midfield and could, maybe should, have scored 4 or 5. All without the best midfielder in the PL and the best young player in the PL. Not a bad evening and no club will want to draw City in the next round. Really need to sharpen up in the last stages of the competition and all is good.

Big chance of United, Chelsea or Liverpool getting psg in the next round now. I’d still probably fancy the English clubs, but both games we’ve had with them showed that they can be very dangerous.

I'm presuming that all hospitals in greater Manchester are now dealing with the life threatening injuries suffered by the PSG players, judging by the amount of writhing about in agony going on while they were ahead.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We had exactly the same crap from Porto tonight. Otavio's reaction after missing an open goal was shameful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For Gods sake man show some empathy, he's probably still recovering in hospital.

From the embarrassment of missing that chance maybe...

There does need to be some sort of post match review and retrospective penalties (yellow cards? financial?) for players obviously feigning injury to get an opponent yellow carded or sent off. Looking at the recording I am not sure Rodri actually made any contact with the 'leg breaking' tackle that got him a card and Messi was clearly not hit in the face when he went down holding his face. To be fair De Maria seems to have suffered a horrifically disfiguring facial injury while sat on the PSG bench.

Absolutely agree with you on this point.

What a great night. Absorbing game and wonderful performance from City. If that was a testament to how Poch handles big egos it was an epic fail.

I couldn’t really tell for sure from where I was, but did Messi go down holding his face in the second half? Think Cancelo challenged but didn’t look anywhere near his face.

There was another PSG lad who went down for ages too

Was it the yellow card incident for Rodri? I watched that back when I got home. That would be Paredes, and Rodri never touched him. Horrible scrote.
