Sergio Aguero Calls It A Day

Happy retirement Sergio, a true legend of the game.

Apparently he had heart surgery at 15 and collapsed after an international game against Nigeria back in 2017.

Still an absolute tragedy to cut short his career like this, but I just found it interesting to read the above and think it demonstrates the difference precaution and perception that just a few years can bring about.

For what it’s worth, one of my favourite players, despite his allegiances, and “that” moment

He's amongst the best strikers we have seen in the premiership era and right up there with the likes of Henry, Shearer and Van Nistelrooy in my opinion.

I hope that his health issues can be resolved by him retiring from professional football and that he enjoys a long healthy life.

The coincidence of all this flaring up again once he joined barca is so weird? Without being naughty, do you think the club doctors knew this and advised against a new deal?

Barca would have had full access to his medical records and would have carried out their own examination presumably.

Its a sad day but what a career he can look back on.

It would be quality to rename the North Stand in his name.

Greatest PL striker in terms of goals per minute. I hope things are good with him in retirement. I travelled on a flight with him once but he turned further left than me so I only got to say (literally) hello.
