Forest v Udders - Match Thread

I lived in Leeds for ten or so years, and like much of Yorkshire, Huddersfield is full of lovely old buildings, sturdy women and men who think they are the hardest and smartest in the world. If I had a pound for every time I heard God’s country i’d be a millionaire in Iceland.

I also hold an unbeaten record vs. Huddersfield, last time I was up there I wore a vintage Adidas / Wrangler number (the yellow one). It doesn’t fit anymore.

To and from the game there was small pockets of violence, usually one big bloke with 5 kids hanging off him.

Anyway, we’re at home, but it should be easier spotting the away fans now.

Form goes out of the window for these, and as we both have great form in the league, then I think we can call on our games against them. The 2-0 win at their place sparked our revival, and the 1-0 loss at our place was thoroughly undeserved.

The 1-0 loss team:

Samba
Spence Worrall McKenna Colback
Ojeda Garner
Johnson Zinco Silva
Grabban

Was that the first time Silva hit the post for us? I’m not sure if Garner was at his best then either.

Our subs that day were Cafu, Carvalho and Taylor. No wonder we couldn’t get the result.

Team news:

Samba could be called back in? Leaving Horvath the league jersey, or vice-versa.

Lowe should return to LWB and Yates in the middle. Colback is probably knackered.

Davis in for the injured Grabban.

We’re allowed nine on the bench for this one, so maybe a few fringe players / U23s.

Prediction;

It would be such a damp squib to not play Liverpool in the QF’s. The two PL scalps ultimately meaning nothing.

This is Cooper though, and i’m sure we’ll be at full strength, with him and the players suitably motivated to give them a footballing lesson.

After the game against Sheffield United, I only really see Millwall or Boro as threats to us IF we sneak the play-offs. It would be great to not only cement our place in the next round, but to also get the psychological edge against potential PO opponents.

3-0 to Forest....with the Fulham game re-arranged for 2023...

COYR!!!!

Hudders have played 5 games more than Bournemouth just below them and have played more than all the other top 6. In a false position by looks of it. The amount of space they gave our midfield today was odd given how few goals they normally concede

1 defeat in 19 games and you call that a false position???

Yes we have played more than the rest...the big difference is we have points in the bag!!

4 more wins for us out of 10 games and we're there..

We have Fulham, Bournemouth, Luton, Blackpool, ‘ull, Peterborough all to play away. Some tough games there.

I agree with cowshed, I’d take points on the board against games in hand any day. Bournemouth also seem pretty inconsistent.

Bournemouth have 4 games in hand on ‘udders, there next 3 games are Peterborough, Derby and Reading, all at home, in this case games in hand maybe an advantage.

Yea, all 3 of those teams are desperate for the points too, I reckon they'll take 7 points from those games, that puts them 6 points clear of us, still with a game in hand... Game 4 is against us at our place.. So if we win that game we are 3 points behind them,... Could be interesting... Of course we have WBA & Millwall away first.. So it could well be over by then anyway 😂!

I wasn't thinking about Bournemouth...they will be over the hills and far away in the next couple of weeks...3,4,5 or 6 is fine for me

Cowshed, looks like your looking forward to the run in just like us, it’s just great to be involved, like tonight may the best team get what they deserve. I think the top 2 are pretty much sorted, who joins them, I have no idea. Let’s just hope we can all enjoy what’s left of the season. 👍

Is 'fairly toothless' the opposite of the tooth fairy?

I think we should be told.

So we beat Arsenal, the holders, and a team unbeaten in 18.

We have every chance of beating Liverpool.
