Bolton v Crewe/Transfer Deadline Day

3 straight defeats for Bolton out of one cup but a chance to progress in another more realistic chance to get to Wembley. Crewe the first of 3 group games including Tranmere and Leeds u21. Each game 90 minutes, 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and if a draw a penalty shootout for a 2nd point. Top 2 in the group qualify for the knock out stage. Team news. Bodvarsson out, john doubtful. Expect multiple changes. Toal, Sheehan, Isgrove should be involved start or on the bench. Another chance for Dixon or even Hutchinson in goal? All very vague as we go to press. Early kick off 7pm.

17,000 tickets sold for the game this weekend.
Best get up there early if you like a drink and bite to eat before a match.

Still nothing is happening. I reckon if we have tabled any offers they have not been accepted.

Evatt says that he will not be leaving the building until it's all over so he must be waiting to see if any offer he has made has been topped.

Deadline day and a TBM are so alike.
Both are really boring.

The transfer window is shut. Have we done enough? Always going to be a quieter window after January. Got cover in every position. Still weaknesses but these will have to be addressed ongoing in the next 2 windows. Players will leave next summer and get better in hopefully.

Is there anything left among the left overs. Perhaps something with an out of contract date.

Just as expected, a damp squib of the deadline transfer window.

Evatt thinks we have enough to get us through until the December transfer window. It could be won or lost by then.

We will need to see what our forwards can pull out of the bag and if our defence has been strengthened by the addition of Toal and Beck, that is if the latter can get time on the pitch. I suppose he will otherwise it would be a waste of time and money bringing him in.

As we know there are always injuries to cope with so he could be a good addition to what we have.

A difficult game tomorrow.
Over to IE's wise words for the rest of the season. Will they be shown as true, or will he end up eating them.

There at times I worry about IE's PR skills. To me he should take a little more time thinking before answering. Especially these days when an elephant can forget but twitter never forgets a thing.

Yes Pasty some tough games in September. Who programmed that computer before the fixtures button was pressed?

Still, if we can hold our own or dare I say, improve before the end of the month, we should be OK after having two tough months. We will see.

Worcester Warriors the rugby union side, only need a sneeze to tip it over the edge. All of which goes a long way to explaining why Morecambe are for up sale.
No reasonable offer refused

PS. Make any offers ultra-low the situation is a damn site worse than that being portrayed in the media.
