Not so sure about Neves as the sole sitting midfielder (just my opinion) But Spurs get away with it with the amount of pure quality in the xi, Attack wise I doubt anyone could live with them, Watford a couple of big injuries but still have enough to trouble the best sides in the league, just lack imo a couple of real quality players in the starting line up

Brentford vs Chelsea

A good match the away side have electric pace up top but the Brentford defence have great pace themselves, with Andersen adding some composure. At home I could see Brentford making a good account of themselves and Koop in particular controlling the midfield well for the home side. Think it would be a very box to box game with neither side really dominating.

Both sides are well balanced, although I think Brentford would miss Odegaard, I like the tactics and Baumgartner would link well with team but feel Odegaard has that top quality to find the final against even the very best sides. While any side would miss the focal point of Haaland, and think Mbappe/Leao are maybe too similar (without Mbappe going rw given likes to drift left). Fan also tried to sneak Mount and Haaland on for a 12th and 13th man and he was sent to the stands for trying to deceive the ref. Cheeky, but didn’t work Welshy wins the gameplan points.

Key differences came down to some of the quality of the away defence and attack vs the home sides. Subs I understand Welshy’s but against Chelsea think it would be good to throw something else at them to mix things up (like throwing on Damsgaard and Skov Olsen for Berardi/Baum for extra pace, as opposed to more direct like for like in Berardi/Skov)

Fernandes often criticised for the passes he doesn’t get right, but with the pace of the front 3 and the solid midfield and defence he was in the perfect position to take those chances.

Overall Chelsea go in with a slight advantage to the slots, and come out winners.

Brentford 1-2 Chelsea
Broja (Szoboslai); Fernandes (Leao), Mbappe (Bruno)
Motm: Broja
