Has Parramatta gone mad or what..????

Parramatta have just signed young Will Hopoate from Manly on a rumoured $800,000 a season 2 year contract starting in 2014 after he completes his 2 year Mormon mission.
For starters I don't believe the figure of 800K a season, I don't care how good the kid is or what potential he has got, you don't spend that sum of money on a winger who might touch the ball a handful of times a game.

I wouldn't be sleeping to well if I was a current Parramatta player I tell ya, with Chris Sandow arriving next season on reportedly $500,000+ along with a couple of other signings of lesser note Roberts from the Dog's etc. there is going to be a hell of a lot of culling to be done in order to stay under the salary cap.
O.K after next season the likes of Hindmarsh and probably Burt will be retiring, so there saves a couple of bob.

I personally can't work out the logic of having 3 players, Hayne, Sandow, Hopoate taking up 40% of your salary cap and the rest of the squad 22 players is supposed to play on the remaining 60%.

Have any of you chaps seen a club do this in your time, I certainly haven't.....I think Parramatta have gone mad when you consider every team needs at least 10 of first grade standard forwards to be competitive and allow for injuries.

What are your thoughts on this issue, if it was your club.......cheers
