Away in the Peak District this weekend so missed yesterday's game.
Son
I'm often over critical of him although such a class player but yesterday shows how he can come off the bench and be so lethal against tired defences or teams trying to chase the game.
Perfect to not start him imo and now he has his goals and can give him confidence for when he starts the next game now.
Those first two goals were textbook Son, ridiculously low xG chances just finishing long distance shots with either foot as if it's a one on one with the keeper.
Bentancur
When on it which wish was more consistently, this guy is our best midfielder. His pressing is so good and great to see him get a goal through that exact notion.
Such a bargain, at a time we were so desperate for this kind of player too.
Conte
Really liked this from Conte yesterday, in terms of team selection. Starting Son and Romero on the bench probably should have happened a few games ago with form and fitness issues respectively.
Having those two and also Bissouma to bring on like Conte did yesterday can really positively impact the game and I assume the subs were all made at the right time yesterday and he utilised his squad for what seems the first time this season.
Did have a feeling we would score quite a few yesterday and it did workout that way. Although seemingly did not dominate in reality but their two goals were both very dodgy, and ours came from well worked routines or moments of brilliance.

Are you doing some walking in the Peak District Phenom? I used to do a fair bit around that area.
I am still not overly happy with Conte continually playing with three CBs in home games. He could easily play with an extra midfielder. Really amazed he never ever changes his formation to start games.

Good article, Son and Boussama changed the game yesterday and it was nice to see a midfield 3 for a while - shame Conte won’t do this more often.

Bentancur has that effortless style about him, in the same way Berbatov did. He is probably our best midfielder at the moment. I like Hojbjerg and think he gets too much stick at times but he does too often have those stupid giveaway passes. He can't seem to get those out of his locker.

Reminds me of a midfield version of berbatov
Awkward yet smooth style about the way he moves and turns ….he looks like he will lose the ball then drags it back from nowhere
I’m conte persists with two in the middle it has to be bissouma and Bentancur….at least give them a try anyway

Bent and Hojbjerg did really well at the end of last season though but I would like to see more of Bissouma and of Skipp. Conte shouldn't be so afraid to use them, as we saw how things changed when Bissouma came on alongside both yesterday.

Bentancur came only alive after change of formation when Conte decided to add Bissouma to the midfield, and go 4-3-3 with Bentancur to the right and Bissouma in the middle and Hobby on the left .
Suddenly, Bentancur turned into a a beast of a player tackling and pressing Leicester left had side, and assisting Son and the forward players too. Also bagged agoal.
3 in the midfield we looked very solid.
I said it on the live thread I'd rather a half fit Romero than fully fit Sanchez and I was proven right 30secs into the game.
Conte made the subs of Sanchez with Romero later on, realising what some of us know already. Sanchez has a mistake in him.
I hope we stick with 3 in the midfield.
Of course, Sonny boys was just on a different level, score 2 worldies the kind of goals, Haaland or Salah don't score.
Onwards and upwards, bring on the NLD. COYS

Yeah here for a walking holiday thought you would have!
Understand your frustration but it's what has worked for him and the squad has been built for it too. 3 man midfield should definitely be used more though, shame we don't have that one more midfield option of something different.
