The Ruskis

Partial mobilisation.

They will increase their available fighting force by 300,000. All reservists who have some military experience. All contract soldiers already in Ukraine will now have their contracts extended indefinitely.

How will this change things?

And if you had to fight one Russian excluding Mad Vlad who you picking and why is it Andrei Arshavin?

Ukraine as a free nation can decide for themselves which pact or group they wish to join at any time they feel fit.

That should go without the threat of invasion by anyone else. It’s their right

There's people on here who think Ukraine called this invasion upon themselves

what if Donbass decide they want to form their own republics

Should that be recognised too ?

In a fair and openly democratic election process, yes. I suppose in a way it would be like the vote on Scottish independence in that does Ukraine allow individual regions to decide which country they’d like to move to or be part of.

For me, I’d quite fancy my life’s trappings and belong to California.

I wonder if the poor sods will be given weapons or will they be ordered to claim them from the dead?

Be like the last scene of blackadder.

"Don't forget your stick, Lieutenant"

"right oh sir, wouldn't want to face a machine gun without this".

that's a terrific scene btw, really captures the brutality of the cannon fodder that was offered up.

So the UK government will be bringing it on themselves if Russia chooses to invade here?

What a moronic take.

I'm assuming Austria, Poland etc were to blame for Germany invading them in the late 1930s

Pekerhead, Google Victor Yushchenko. 2004 he was poisoned by Russian thugs. Forget 2015. Oh and you are aware that Stalin murdered more Ukrainians than the Notsees did. And...fvk you.

Russia invaded it and pushed out all the people who didn't support it. Of course they would decide to side with Russia as they put their own people into it.

It would be like that if Scotland took out all the people who wanted to remain in the UK and set up their own fake government to hold the vote.

Pens, what's your thoughts in referenda in Galicia and Catalonia? Should they be allowed independence?
