Bolton Wanderers v Oxford United

Last game of a busy October schedule. At the start of the month i did set a task for Bolton to qualify for the knockout stage of the EFL trophy. Done. Plus close the 4 point gap on the top 2. Failed on that count as that gap is now 9. In 5th place though with a 5 point gap from 7th and will be looking to extend/maintain that with a win in the last home league match till 2nd December! It's been a frustrating month. 3 wins a draw and 2 defeats against sides that have sat back and tried to spoil. It may be different today as last season's Oxford played expansive football and finished 8th. I'm not sure what to expect today as a different start to the season for Oxford and are 20th with a few injury and suspension problems so today could be one of those difficult fixtures. Team news. No new injuries reported although Aimson was subbed early on in the b team game in the week. Pick and mix as evatt will shuffle his squad again. Kick off 3pm.

It's all in the BEN.
Work on the training ground is going to fix it. IE has stuck his pins in a map and got it sussed.
I'd have gone with the easier less energetic plan of reversing the alphabetical seating plan, so row Z is at the front and row A high at the back.
I'd have added in a rule of no ball higher than shoulder height during training as well.

Talking of the EFL Trophy
Our goal diff in the Trophy table is 6 after 3 games.
That's higher than the league's goal diff of 5 after 16 games.

Have you seen the price of tin foil?
I won't be making a Blue Peter tin foil FA Cup this season.

Shame as I would have expected them both to play in the cup.

Didn't I say yonks ago, we should have been looking to let Izzy go.
His type of ham injury is not one you normally get back to old ways from.

Once upon a time, didn't somebody want to sign a Mr Fossey.
He could have run at a pace and chip in with a goal or two for us and not been due to go back in January.

It gets earlier every year.
I've not lit my last roman candle, and IE is talking January sales.
