Two attempts but I could never get into God of War. Just found the combat ridiculously boring, slow enemies you have to hit 12 times to kill.

Same.
It looked stunning and that first fight you had at the beginning was incredible, but then I got bored. I found the areas very dull. I feel like I should give it another chance but I’m just hooked on FS games, and challenging myself to platinum all of them. I just need two of the three endings in Elden Ring to platinum that.
Done Bloodborne so just leaves me with the Dark Souls series.
Need to play Sekiro and hoping to get a PS5 soon so will buy Demon Souls and play that.
No time to really play GoW

It looked stunning and that first fight you had at the beginning was incredible, but then I got bored. I found the areas very dull. I feel like I should give it another chance but I’m just hooked on FS games, and challenging myself to platinum all of them. I just need two of the three endings in Elden Ring to platinum that.
Done Bloodborne so just leaves me with the Dark Souls series.
Need to play Sekiro and hoping to get a PS5 soon so will buy Demon Souls and play that.
No time to really play GoW

Couldn’t do sekiro, way too hard.

And that’s from a souls veteran - ds1,.2,3 blood borne all completed, Elden on final boss. Sekiro I got past the first boss, that’s it. Too hard man.

From what I understand Baz you don’t play Sekiro like you play DS, BB or ER. Particularly DS3 and BB. It’s all about the parrying which I know is not an easy technique even in the other games.

I wouldn’t say GoW, since 2018, are hack & slash games anymore. The originals most certainly were, DMC obviously is, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden, Heavenly Sword, et al. But they really revamped the formula for 2018, the philosophy of which was obviously carried forward into Ragnarök.

That’s when you’re fighting with the axe, at least, which is pretty much the only weapon I used. When you use the Blades of Chaos, I think it doesn’t revert to a more hack & slash kind of game (hence my reluctance to use them)

FromSoft games are pretty much my favourite games out there & I’ve completed them all with the exception of Sekiro. It just didn’t click with me; genuinely think that Nioh took their formula, applied it to the samurai genre (I think Nioh 1 came out before Sekiro?) and did it better than them

Nioh was also hard as fack. Ds and bloodborne hard but fair, sekiro and nioh weren’t
