TWD - finale

So finally after all these years TWD is one episode from ending.

We all know that is has been massively stretched out far longer than it should be. That lies with the execs however not the writers.

Anyway one more episode before it ends (and then continues!!)

So how do we all see this ending, will we get Rick and Michone back. Will Judith die.

If there is anyone left on here that still watches it who do we think will make it and who wont?

I actually quite liked the ending, but it felt totally out of place with the rest of the series and I knew about all the spin-offs that were being set up.

I mean some of it was really stupid, but my expectations were for something worse than the GOT finale.

Anyway, you can go for Andor now

I thought Rosita's death was completely irrelevant, stupid. Purely did it to create some sorta worthwhile event in an episode in which not a lot actually happened.

They started off the the whole last season very slowly and then speeded up all the events in the last 3 episodes ... so badly written. The series of events with the Commonwealth and Pamelas demise was so quick, rushed, unexplained etc.

Well, I don't think her death was completely stupid, but the manner of it was.

I mostly agree though, I don't have a problem with any of the stuff that happened this episode but I agree the pacing was a huge issue, which is true for the entire series.

The whole way through we've had interesting ideas poorly implemented as we watch boring stuff happen on screen, while other stuff happens off screen.

her death just seems to me to have been put in there to create some emotion. not for any plot value. It seemed massively forced and cheap.

without going into the writing which was extremely poor.

Just the plot of having her die to try and create something of note happening in the end. Cos nothing really did , nothing they havent already faced and dealt with before IMO.

I dunno, the situation they were in it made sense for people to die, that has happened historically and I thought they'd lose more this time.

I just thought that having her be the last one up the drainpipe was incredibly stupid, as was having her get away once she fell at all

yeah the actual writing there was shocking.

No way in hell with her baby in her arms is she letting others go up that pipe before her. especially after just being reuinted with her. No way Gabe or Eugene let her either,

Its amazing how she managed to put on 130lb of lean muscle whilst falling to launch the 5-8 zeds on top of her when she falls. but lie i said no point talking abot plot holes in TWD !!

Similar to most others i dropped jt not long after Negan was 'defeated'. But i went back to it literally a month or two ago and wrapped it up in quick time.

Annoying as feck how they wasted Negan for a couple of seasons but enjoyed his arc mostly. The whisperers arc was actually pretty good, Alpha and Beta did their job well.

Biggest problem i always had with the show was how characters personalities just flipped.....arghh kill anyone......oh no, I can't kill anyone.......kill kill.......nah, don't kill. Carol was one of those.

I think it's alright if you binge watch it, but watching weekly would be a slog cos of the amount of nothing or just outright stupid stuff that happens.

New show is good so far though.

Yeah it was scarily slow at times. So many spin offs now, will have to decide which ones I care about. Negans for sure and probably rick and michonnes but I don't care for michonne

Maybe Daryl

Daryl's was alright, again will be better to binge.

Haven't seen the Negan one cos the Maggie dynamic just got old quickly and I couldn't really be bothered with more of that.

Rick one seems to be the best so far though quite comfortably. Less characters but far better acting & on a scale we haven't really seen yet with this show.
