Worthy winner over Ronnie? Have a day off

At the age of 46, Ronnie won his 7th World Title and his 21st Major Title (2nd highest ever is 18).

He beat Judd Trump in the final who is on his way to becoming a great himself and is 14 years younger than him. He has cemeted himself as the GOAT of snooker and is the most popular player in the sport by a country mile.

No one outside England knows this SPOTY winner and most people in England (including me) still have no idea who she is.

No one outside the UK knows O’Sullivan

Well, he is adored in the country which has the largest population, he may actually be known by more people outisde UK than famous footballers.

Secondly, even the famous Pool players in North America know about Ronnie. He is not only the best in his sport but also the most popular in his sport.

SPOTY voters are the absolute worst: Geraint Thomas, AP McCoy, Mark Cavendish, now this girl. No one knows who they are and in a couple of years, you will forget about her yourself.

His antics and personality are very marmite.
