I can quite easily see a joint retirement for the two at the end of next summer's series against Australia at the Oval.
It is the obvious place to make an exit.
A series win would be nice, and not unlikely with the current team.
They have nothing left to prove but a wealth of knowledge to pass on as bowling coaches and very likely careers as TV pundits as well after a few months with their feet up.
Broad and Anderson retirement

I'd be surprised. I don't think they'll retire at the same time. For all the talk that they come as a pair because they've been our new ball attack for so long, it's easy to forget that Broad is 4 years younger than Anderson. Given how this new regime is going with everyone just having a blast, I can't see either wanting to finish anytime soon.

I've always thought Broad would play on a a bit longer and maybe even try to catch Jimmy's wicket haul. But the longer Jimmy plays on the less likely that seems. Broad will be 37 in the summer.

Highly unlikely that Broad could catch Jimmy in the test wickets list. But I don't expect another quickie to get anywhere near those two in my lifetime. Jimmy is within striking distance of Warne's total so one more year of playing tests and who knows?
