Hello This is the thread for the Masters. The tournament will run from Sunday 8th January till Sunday 15th January 2022 and will be played at the Alexander Palace. The current top 16 players will be involved, However Yan Bingtao has been suspended. David Gilbert will replace him. Zhao Xintong has also been suspended. Hossein Vafaei will replace him The last 16, quarter finals, semi finals are all best of 11. The final will be best of 19. Coverage will be on BBC and Eurosport.

It does end up being a perfect day for me. Usually when Arsenal and Judd play on the same day. Only one of them win or neither!

Not sure how Williams lost that in the end. Trump looked completely gone at 7-6 & again at 8-7 but I think the run of the ball favoured him slightly from then on. If Williams had gone 2 in front it was game over.
Credit to Trump though, he held himself together to finish the job & has won a triple crown event without reaching his peak all week.
This is an amazing return to the fore by Williams though, his bottle is unbelievable. It's a good job he shrugs defeat off so easily after some of the games he's lost over the past year!! Would love to see him win one more major title, and there's no reason why he can't.

Unfortunately Williams bottle cost him, he went for too many in the end, instead of playing safe....

Judd done really well to win this tournament, he wasn't anywhere near his best but managed to find ways to win matches. I hope that he can go back to the level we all know he is capable of.

I still remember the last time a North London Derby clashed with a big Judd Trump match. December 2020, Arsenal lost 2-0 to Spurs (we were really sh111t then) and Judd lost the UK Championship final to Robbo 10-9. That defeat is probably my worst ever Judd Trump defeat.
