I don’t trust him.
Looked like he was trying to get a second yellow today. Not actively “trying" but definitely not playing like he was already on one.
He can see what’s happening. He wouldn’t care one bit to get out of it all. He knows he’s good and will probably agitate for a move this summer.
Just a hunch, looking at his body language, performance and previous actions.
He’s not been anywhere near what he was last season and we rely on him and as fans leave him out when criticising the defence (on the whole).
I just don’t trust the guy to do the right thing in games or for Spurs in general.
Harsh?
I just want our best players to stand up and be counted and start dragging the team through - he could do that but I don’t think he’s up for the fight.

What a load of nonsense

Agreed. This guy gets a free pass cos we are so desperate for him to be great but when he’s in the defence the defence is still poor

I think his ideas of trying to show passion/ leadership is just smashing an opponent. But that’s not good enough.

He’s the most overrated player in the league.

You randomly hate him to the extent you think Dier is better

Dier is better Spurs, though.

Don't know what's going on with him. Gone from being effectively faultless in his performances last season to borderline poor this time around
Last season he made the tackle 65% of the time an attacker tried to go by him, per opta - that's down to 38% this season. His high risk high reward style is no longer paying off. Have to assume it's down to the team being worse as a whole and also his issues with fitness and fatigue because we've seen his quality

Dier has been bad this season but I guess it could just be cause he's played more. When Romero has he hasn't been good, can't argue against him being overrated
