For a Friday people are pretty upset.

Indeed....

The Green Brigade have launched a new campaign to try and introduce an entire safe standing end of Celtic Park.

The supporter group are currently housed in the North Curve section of the ground where 2,700 fans are given the option to stand at matches.

Now organisers want to turn the Jock Stein stand into a standing zone of the stadium to allow for more fans to stand, while also improving the Parkhead atmosphere.

A statement from the North Curve Twitter page read: "Dortmund's yellow wall is arguably the most iconic stand in world football.

"In Rome and across Italy you have the famous curvas.

"Even closer to home the Kop in Liverpool retains mythical statsus.

"Yet Celtic Park - a place we like to think tops all else - lacks a traditional end of reputation and of influence.

"The Celtic support has evolved considerably in the last decade.

"Fans want to stand at matches yet only 2,700 are given that option.

"A similar number is on a waiting list although it is likely far more would take up the option once it presents itself.

"On those famous European nights at Celtic Park most of the Lisbon Lions end will stand and at Hampden the entire goal end and usually more choose to stand.

"Celtic also boasts a vibrant and growing scene of fans who want to play a more active role on match days and beyond.

"The Green Brigade have long established themselves and the North Curve Celtic initiative is over 1000 members.

"Bhoys Celtic have added their own mark to the support, now housed immediately opposite the standing section.

"It is inevitable that the standing capacity at Celtic Park will be increased, the big question is where.

"We believe the answer is fairly obvious and will cater for all - the Celtic End."

Probably picked a bad week to launch that campaign?

As long as they stay in the bottom tier. I can't stand them. No problem standing at games but I do not want to end up in amongst them or have to move for them. Got a good wee group around us that have been sitting together for many years.

I agree ,good lads

I ended up in the seat i'm in now because they shifted them into that curve, won't lie, being in that bit with them made the atmosphere feel better.

My seat now has a better view of the whole pitch, and it's well covered so u never get wet.

I’ve no problem with the request for more standing at CP for all the positive reasons stated. The club should see this as an opportunity to say ‘ok we’ll allow safe standing with conditions. The CCTV cameras will pick up all offensive chants and offensive banners. Those in those standing areas where offensive chants or banners are witnessed will have their ST’s removed and they will be banned from CP for at least a year’ For me, that approach is a win win 👍

Aye..but if the club are going to extend the standing area the cheapest and obvious place to do it is at that end where the yahoo's already are

Sturgeon had to go, the £37 billion pound track and trace fiasco, the billion pound PPE fiasco, the lying, the sleaze, the parties during covid while people were dying..

oh wait...
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Being "not as bad as the Tories" just cements the transition from Salmond's SNP to Sturgeon's pseudo-Labour.
The idea of the SNP is to show that Scotland can lead its own way in the world and encourage others to see the same. If the justification for their party's existence is simply to say "well we're not as scandal-ridden as the bunch of coked-up public schoolboys down south" then the baw's burst and the game's a bogey.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who would you rather have in charge of your country?

Take your time
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I hate that argument.

Same as when a manager needs to go. “Who’s available though? Who would you take?”

Not a reason to keep someone who isn’t performing.

Pash argument. Can’t reward failure.
No doubt the alternatives have been a joke and are politically lost at best… that doesn’t mean she’s done a good job. Far too partisan in Scotland and she’s played on that better than anyone. A politician above reproach is worrying. I’ve always been labour… the biggest issue with them was that they rested on their laurels in Scotland.

Nicola could have won by a landslide regardless of any failings. Surely that’s unhealthy?

Just as labour expected years back. Lazy, too powerful and arrogant.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's a simple question.

Who would you rather be in charge..

The absolute omnishables disgrace of a Tory Party?

or

Nicola Sturgeon?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Neither.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You have to pick one, stop being an evasive little brat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thankfully we have a democracy.

Now away whine about the masons and let the adults talk

Murrell away almost exactly a month later.

So far all the people leaving were huge parts of the Salmond plot. Wonder if the messages are about to be leaked and they're jumping before they're jailed...
