Sorry for being tardy...

...but I wasn't posting at the time and the news of Merritts ban being overturned reminded me of the nonsense of Bolts disquallification for a false start and Chambers still being persecuted by the BOA.

I heard Seb Coe sounding bemused when people expressed disappointment that Bolt wouldn't be seen in the final and explaining that rules were rules and they had no plans to change them and why should they? and I thought "What an arrogant dolt"! From every angle other than that viewed by dogmatic traffic warden the fact that the sports rulers failed to get the best sprinter the world has ever seen into a final eagerly anticipated by millions of fans was epic in its incompetence.

Finally, the fact that Chambers is still being persecuted by the dogmatics at the BOA is nothing less than cruel. He made his mistake and has paid the price and should be re-instated.
