Morning fellow reds, was doing some reminiscing and was thinking about when SAF wanted Benzema. All those years ago, the great man saw the potential in him and just imagine what we could have achieved with him leading the line for us all these years?
The great man had a superb talent for identifying players and I just wonder how we would have turned out with not just him but with players like Ronaldinho, Essien and Robben.
Imagine what could have been.

Have to acknowledge I didn't research that rigorously, MUDD - just dredging up vague memories.
I vaguely recall stories about Mexes & Fernando Torres getting Christmas cards from Fergie when they were young emerging players. (The kind of thing that probably doesn't happen in the post-Savile age.)
