Kyle Walker

... we need to extend his contract.
Last night was case in point that he has attributes that still has value for us.

Do it Txiki.

No he didn’t.

He said that Walker wasn’t able to implement a certain type of play and I agree with him.

He is ideal when it comes to facing players like Vini Jnr.

“No, he cannot do it. He will always have pace; Kyle at 60 years old will be the fastest player in this room. To play inside you have to have educated movements – he doesn’t have every one of the characteristics. He has played as a full-back coming inside in the past with four at the back. He has done really well but this shape of three at the back and two in the middle, he cannot do it.”

thats him saying he doesnt have the positional awareness for the role and doesnt have the time on his side to learn it.

Fully expect City to make him see out the last year of his deal.

Excellent player to have in the squad.

He has started alot of games since these comments, so maybe Walker has proved to pep he can be the rcb of the 3. Since Walker has been playing in this formation he has been in the 3 at the back while Stones moves into the midfield. When we dont have the ball they go back to a traditional back 4.

Im just going on what Pep himself has said and so far this season of the three players to play in that position this year he has played the least .... and has favoured Stones and Akanji in that position more than Walker it seems.

Wrong again

He’s used Rico Lewis in the system instead of Walker when he wants to play that system

you might want top go back and check again.

in the back three its been Akanji and Stones that have filled in more than Lewis has. Walker has playued there more than lewis and less than Stones and Akanji in the back three.

He’s not asking Walker to do the Stones or Lewis role (like he doesn’t ask Akanji to either). Previously, it was either full back that did it, in recent games with Stones showing how brilliant he’s been at doing it from the centre means that Walker is absolutely again a viable option.

I don't think Walker and Lewis have ever been on the pitch at the same time.

Both have played in line ups including Stones and/or Akanji.

Give Gundo, Bernardo, and Walks what they want.
Go on Txiki.
