Everton away

It’s hard not to have an eye on Wednesday, such is the magnitude of the next 90 minutes we play at home, perhaps the paid professionals will handle it better… But we are all human after all, and with Everton showing they have some scrap in them of late, and the intensity of our matches either side of this, Goodison away presents itself as the most likely pitfall of our final four games.

If Rudiger thinks we are “not dangerous", Ancelottis team selection yesterday suggests his opinion is not shared throughout the Real Madrid hierarchy, their starting eleven yesterday only featured three players who started against us on Tuesday, one of those being the goalkeeper. City can afford to drop points today, a loss, a draw and two wins should see the title retained for a significant third year on the bounce. But that isn’t Guardiolas style, look at the Gundogan penalty last weekend, keeping the right mentality will largely trump rest at this stage of the season.

With that said the team selection today will be influenced by Peps plans for Wednesday. Personally I would bring Mahrez in on the right, with Bernardo, Foden or even Alvarez taking Gundogans place. Today I think some light changes at the back, with at least one of Rodri or KDB starting on the bench. Win, lose or draw, Haaland could really do with a goal to get over this unacceptable two game goal drought he’s in the middle of!

I go same as the Leeds team, hopefully Ake is fit, with a couple of auditions (Mahrez, Alvarez, Foden) also in there to start midweek

Ederson
Akanji Laporte Ake
Rico Gundogan
Mahrez Alvarez KDB Foden
Haaland

Weird not to get a pen for that. Other way a round the keeper gets a FK every time.

Yep clear pen, double standards the GKs get is annoying

That cancels out Cancelo's 'handball' from last season.

No need to ever mention it again now.

Well well well.

All that chat about where City would drop points.

Huge booster going into our next game ✌️

Missed both games as was on the Eurostar to Paris. Made for very pleasant reading whilst having a beer when I got here!

Thanks mate Now on the next leg - a train from Paris to Milan. Trains are so much better in Europe!

I hope to do this journey in Summer.

TGV or Italian train on the next leg?

I’m on a frecciarossa from Paris to Milan, which is their tgv basically. Just starting to go up into the mountains now, the scenery is amazing. It’s 6hrs 45 to Milan, I’ve got an hour there then a three hour train to Rome, where I’m staying for three days then doing it all over again back home.

I’d strongly recommend it, a great way to travel.
