It seems that despite posters being able to say what they think on here, however negative, inappropriate, defamatory, outright abusive, one cannot call that out directly and demand better in terms of how posters share their views.
I have now learned that one such poster is taking a break from the forum, to protect their mental health. I am saddened that it appears to be a direct result of my response to their OP and extended thread - at least, that is how it is couched - but I fully respect the decision and hope they make a swift return when they're ready to.
I also fully accept everyone is entitled to a view. This forum would be the poorer for it, if the diverse and interesting perspectives were restricted or just not aired.
It seems with Leicester - there are 2 or 3 sets of fans - ones who are pro-Top/KP etc., ones who are anti Top/KP etc., and ones who largely drift without any meaningful view either way. The anti-Top/KP fans appear to be the most vocal and the most aggressive on the forum. The words are there in black and white. I do not need to contextualise them or highlight them. You can make your own decisions on what is appropriate or not.
If we don't agree with the antis - we are shouted down. I happen to be in the camp where Top did need to take better action, that the Board was asleep at the wheel this season and for large parts of last season. I think the Board as a whole should be replaced and for the club to start again afresh (with Top still as the owner). But I don't think the world has ended and I can move on from my initial disappointment at our recent demise.
The club is the only thing that matters. It still exists. It is very much a competitive entity. I would be truly inconsolable if something like what happened to Bury FC happened to us. I am not saying that will never happen - and with the current owner/Board at the helm... I sincerely hope not!
Back to the main aim of this post - which is to reconcile differences as best we can. I sincerely hope what I've recently posted does not keep you away for long. I do hope we can all share this forum in the spirit it was created for. I accept I have been provocative. Very provocative, with the aim of highlighting what I felt was out of line, whilst voicing my own angle on the disappointment that has unfolded for Leicester as a club and for us as its loyal (and often taken for granted) fanbase.
Best feet forward from me. Hope to engage with you all a bit more, after a period where posting has just been so far below the radar for many reasons. I agree with most of you though that we really need some swift action in the managerial and playing staff - the sooner this is sorted out, with a proper manager in and all the players we need out, out - the better.
All the best for the summer.

Are you a member of the Foxes Trust? If we truly want to start asking questions - we probably need to engage with the Trust and get people on the Board?

I note there is a paragraph at the bottom of the link here which invites new members:
"If you are interested in becoming a board member in the future please e-mail the Chairman with details of the kind of contribution (not financial) you would like to make. The Trust Board would welcome additions to the team running the Trust"
Agree - Rudkin and Whelan undertaking the review is nonsensical, given they are the chief culprits (or certainly Rudkin).

This is a difficult thread to come into but what I don't want to see is any of my fellow Blue Army supporters on here directing their ire against each other, as that is counter productive as we have seen with Foxello feeling the need to take a break from here.
Human nature being what it is means that we can all have differing opinions ( and sometimes they will differ widely as they are here) and that is always encouraged but hopefully whatever our individual stance we are all after one thing..... and that is seeing our club turn around and get back into the Premier League at the earliest opportunity.
Now I am the first to admit that I have been accused in the past of being a "glass half full" person and that may come through on here as well.
I certainly do not see things as bleak as some others on here ( and who knows which one of us is right) but we are all united in wanting the best for Leicester City.
Unfortunately we all know that words read on here can be perceived incorrectly, but they will normally come from the heart of YWF, Foxello, 99 etc......
We are all pished off right now, none of us know how the next 8 weeks will pan out.... but let us continue discussing, voicing our opinions, celebrating, commiserating, supporting and respect each other.
Personally if we hear tomorrow that Rudkin has been sacked then i think we all be partying in the streets.....
As 99 says if the summer passes and we are still dissatisfied then banners etc at home games is certainly acceptable. I do think that some clubs have a close relationship with their fans ( and we have been there) and others ( Spurs) treat them as customers not fans ( and we are heading that way, it feels like that). Top has the chance to get that relationship back, lets see where we go.
One thing is for certain, our club needs our support, ever since 1977 at home to Ipswich it has had mine and that will continue.

Well said everyone! I think Appleton pretty much covers what we all think very eloquently.
One thing that I have noticed about this board, and I’ve mentioned it before, is that the vast majority of regular posters do so respectfully; diametrically opposed to some of the other boards where the abuse and vitriol is outrageous. The likelihood of us all having the same opinion, thankfully, is remote. That we can do so without abusing others for not sharing a particular view is fundamental to regular organised society. Keep it up please!
Incidentally, the suggestion about communicating with the Foxes Trust is a sound one. I suspect 99 might be the ideal candidate for that!
And finally I hope Foxello doesn’t abandon us completely. His, like everybody else’s views, are always worth reading,

I’m definitely not a member. I’ll have a read through - had no idea you could join and hadn’t really considered it in the past.

YWF, you've found out that strong personal attacks on other posters on this board do not usually end well; frequently resulting in filtering, sometimes in people (as in this case) leaving the board on a temporary or permanent basis.
I can however understand all sides here. I'm of the view that Top and the family have earned sufficient brownie points with me to have my ongoing support, this may change if he does not start demonstrating that he is learning; replacement of the DoF in particular is needed as a matter of some urgency.
You realise that what happened to Bury could happen to us, this has been my concern. We are in a terrible position financially, a club which has been focussed on being competitive for Europe with no thought of relegation from the Premier League now having to deal with Championship level financing. We could easily end up with points deductions, in League 1 or even administration (only a small step away from liquidation at that point). I hope not, but we could be in for some dark days ahead which could threaten the club's very existence.
I notice that in your original posting you listed me as a poster in the referenced thread, but did not include any comment on my postings. I am aware that instant responses can lead to one making comments which on reflection should not be communicated; as such I do try and take the emotion out as much as possible which is difficult. One thing I'm certain of, is that all LCFC supporters who post on this forum have a passion for the club.
I will normally read through and make changes to a draft post numerous times before pressing send. Sometimes I'll even sit on a draft for a while and return to it later to see it with a fresh perspective. I try and edit out anything which is too controversial. I do realise that it's very easy to get the wrong message in text exchanges, something that would not perhaps happen in a one-to-one conversation.
I really enjoy being part of the Foxes family and to be able to debate relevant current affairs with others, the more the merrier, different opinions welcome! So it is sad when someone leaves the forum. It would also be very boring if everybody agreed with each other all the time.
The Foxes Trust stuff is interesting. They have commented on relegation and the message from the club's chairman: https://foxestrust.co.uk/9937/foxes-trust-board-comment-on-relegation-and-the-message-from-the-clubs-chairman
This is included in the comments: ' The purpose of the Trust is not to second-guess football-related decisions made by the Club. It is to ensure that the Club is run effectively and well'. I find this a strange position to take, it is difficult to see how you can separate the two aspects as football decisions (see many previous comments by all on 'Rudkin' and 'Rodgers' ) can - and have last season had and are having - a catastrophic impact on the club's finances; the two are inextricably intertwined. It is also significant that nothing is mentioned about the frankly laughable and ridiculous decision for an investigation into what went wrong to be led by two of the main protagonists.
I suspect that the Trust walks a tightrope in its approach to the club which probably steers it away from too much controversy; after all, they can't have much effect if the club refuses to deal with them. In any event I await with interest any feedback if someone decides to get more involved with them.

I really enjoy this forum over others because in the main people have strong differing opinions but are respectful with them.
But the purpose of debate is to disagree on topics and to understand others viewpoints. That’s why I’m on here. To educate myself to other people’s views and to let them shape mine.
Now, I often disagree with people on this forum and feel like I get it thrown at me as a result. But I don’t take that personally. I’ve learned to understand that just because my opinion annoys some tone doesn’t make it wrong, nor does it makes theirs wrong. It makes them different.
I like to debate and give me views and I know I drive 99 round the twist sometimes by refusing to accept his views as my own. But I enjoy the fact that we disagree. This forum would be an utterly dull place without disagreement.
Now what we have this year is a lot of angry supporters looking for someone to blame for this season. And we all have our scapegoats. Some of us blame Rodgers and the players more. Some of us the ownership. They all share part of the blame in reality.
I will maintain my support for Top and KP’s ownership until I see them making business decisions that are not in the best interest of the club. With the training ground and stadium expansion I just don’t see that yet. Of course they’ve made mistakes, but it’s how they come back for them that matters to me.
I will be there fully behind the team and ownership next season. I’m a Leicester fan and I will support us whatever division we’re in. Let’s challenge the ownership and their decisions in a respectful way of it isn’t working out, like we challenge on here.
Keep debating everyone, keep disagreeing, it’s what makes it fun and interesting and helps us learn.
Blue Army.

Yeah you see that’s what drives me round the twist 😂 I would argue racking up record losses, stretching ourselves to pay far higher wages than other clubs of our size to gamble for Europe, taking out massive loans backed against PL TV money and then losing £100m of said PL income through relegation isn’t really making business decisions that are in the best interest of the club
I enjoy our debates Mersey but what drives me round the twist is the fact that in my view, you never really seem to take on board the counter argument. I don’t think I’ve seen you shift your position one minuscule whenever myself, Nuneaton and Foxello have presented you with some pretty compelling facts to the contrary
