Rodgers Confirmed

Players who could flourish under Rodgers and players who's Celtic careers could be over

If, as expected Rodgers is announced I think it marks the end for a few players-
Maeda - there is no way Rodgers will appreciate what Maeda brings to the team. He is not the typical winger as he is technically not as good as other wingers.
Ralston - similar to Maeda he gets through things on effort. Rodgers had given him his breakthrough but I don't see Ralston getting much of a look in (hopefully he remains as back up to Johnston)
Kobayashi - not long in the door and I don't think it will be long before he is out the door.
Taylor - not really basing this on much but I do wonder if Taylor was so good at the Ange style full back role but will not be great going back to a traditional full back role.

Players who will flourish
Haksabanovic - Rodgers likes his proper old school wingers and for me that is what Haksa is. I can see him doing the role that Sinclair did in Rodgers first spell
Jota - has been phenomenal under Ange but in a very deliberate way of playing. I'd imagine Rodgers giving him a lot more freedom to be a creative winger
O'Riley and Hatate - I'll group them together as Rodgers is very good at the getting the best out of young energetic box to box midfielders
McGrain - while Rodgers is at Celtic then Danny will always be there.
Mooy - Rodgers worked wonders with Rogic who like Mooy was technically outstanding but not the most mobile

I agree to an extent but the fact remains if Rodgers doesn't bail on you, there is no difficult decision to be made and it increases the chances you might have got close to the invincible Rangers team that stopped 10IAR.

Maybe, maybe not? FWIW and given the points accrued I doubt anyone was stopping Rangers that year. They even threw the cups to ensure it.

You could say that about any successful manager who moves into better things.

Postecoglou for example.

Nothing bad apart from your 10iar dreams being obliterated happened.

Rodgers cost you 10iar.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Utter nonsense. Our board and Lennon (in a distant second place) cost us 10 in a row
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Without him leaving the board can't make the mistake of hiring Lennon.

It stems from Rodgers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not in the slightest. Board should plan for every potential eventuality and not be caught cold.

That's part of their job. Contingency planning.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmmm if you believe the conspiracy theorists Lennon WAS their contingency planning - tipping him the wink to get himself resigned from Hibs...?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wouldn't surprise me, such is their level of "planning"

Better things. Spurs > Celtic.

Big call, potential to be if he can revitalise the club and make them a PL and CL challenger again but otherwise not for me.

Already slightly worried for him when they've baulked at 40m for Raya and went for a keeper with poor stats in comparison.

They are trying to do it on the cheap so he's going to need to work miracles.

It's a far bigger and better move for him.

And if he's going to be failed by his management, then he's an understandable out.

To be fair to Ange, at 57 time moving on with clubs likely to be dissuaded if your age has a 6 or 7 at the start irrespective of the mythical feats of Big Sam, Hodgson, Warnock et al. Probably the right time to take a risk full in the knowledge Celtic will take him back if it goes tats up
