It doesn't suggest he's stupid. It suggests a man who is already unimaginably rich and who is set to grow much richer still whatever he does next has prioritised his career (and profile) over short-term earnings.

I've known plenty of people who have chosen job opportunities that develop their skills and achievements over ones that pay more, and I don't remember any of them regretting it. Some have ended up earning more that way too - as Mbappe might.

That he'll regret it. He's already on astronomical wages, will get a 90m loyalty bonus if he stays at PSG and a huge bonus when signing with Madrid too. At a certain point the money won't bother him, as they're just numbers on a page

OP must be gabby agbonlahor. He was defending the likes of Neves for going to Saudi on crazy money by saying that there were PL players at risk of going bankrupt.

What doesn’t make sense about it?

If one doesn’t tax you at all and another taxes almost half your income away, of course you have to take that into account

$776m take-home pay is almost $1.5bn gross if you’re paying high marginal rates of tax.
