The concept of starting a season fully prepared is not something that appears to be on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.
The end of last season was a low point in the recent history, and the current manager has managed to actually galvanise a broken, disinterested, fractious fan base. Despite this, the club refuse to actually give this man a fair crack at it, due to, yet again, being totally unprepared to start a season.
The fixtures are announced well advance, but yet still it seems like it catches us out every time.
For those at the club who may on the off chance be reading this….. the season starts in August you prickssss
It is unfair on our new keeper that he is having to do pre season behind what can only be described as a car crash defence, and we are setting him up to fail. How about we purchase a player and then bed him in properly ?
The centre back search is a joke. Not a stroke of urgency whatsoever. I will tell you this, if we do not make improvements in that area then we will comfortably lose our first two games and put the manager under unnecessary pressure.
How about, for a change, we actually sign the players we need…. Identify the player, put the money down, and sign him. Hundreds of transfers happen every window…. It’s not that complicated a deal. We have so much FFP breathing room it’s embarrassing.
As for this Kane situation, just make a deadline. If you want the player you have to offer x amount by y date. If you don’t then he’s not going anywhere
(For the record I would sell Kane to Bayern to control the move and slap 60m down forToney. Richarlison has the gig until January and then the two of them fight it out.)
We actually have a young vibrant attack minded squad now, with a manager who only accepts attacking football, but we have decided to handicap him as he enters his first season.
Don’t even start me on the shambolic mess that was the pre season tour ….

Agree with everything you have said Chronic. Apart from Toney. There is nothing to say that Toney will hit the sales heights after a lengthy lay off. Plus the fee won’t reflect that lay off imo.

I was really looking forward to next season a month or so ago.
New manager who’s positive.
Being linked to top players like Raya, Tapsoba & Maddison while Kane was not for sale.
Clearing out the duds.
Now I’m dreading it.
Signed an unknown and unproven GK, no new CBs & Kane about to leave with no adequate replacement being talked about.
Only sold winks with all the other dude clinging on.
Whu couldn’t levy take the good will he got with appointing Ange and go all out.
No Europe meant we really could’ve focused on the league and domestic cups and would fancied us for one of the early promised happened.
Shame another season lost.

Although I don’t see losing Kane as the disaster a lot of people do. Two weeks left to the start of the season and it is being turned into a disaster though!

You either sell Kane early and bring in your first choices like Raya & Tapsoba or you don’t sell him at all.
Anyone that thinks richarlison is good enough to be our main striker is in for a shock. We need another forward too once Kane goes.

We’re waiting until Friday as the clause in his contract kicks in and let’s us get him for only £2m - good business all round but the boy is years away from being a first team player.
These Kane negotiations should be happening in Germany so we can wrap up Tapsoba and VDV at the same time

Sell Sanchez, Tanganga, Rodon,Reguilon, Sessegnon etc..,
I think that once Kane goes… Levy would have no choice, but to buy the centre backs…
Buy Vlahovic, Tapsoba & Van De Ven
Whoever goes to the Spartak friendly, should make their feelings known… so that he hears!!
