Bolton Wanderers v Wigan Athletic

Derby day. Good to have this fixture back. Looks like a 26000 crowd today with as it stands around 150 home tickets left, Wigan have sold around 4000 and returned 800 tickets. A fixture that has been played out in the freight rover trophy, the Leyland daf cup, the league cup, the fa cup, league one, the championship and for 7 glorious years the premier league. Quite a bit of history and rivalry built up since that first fixture between the clubs on boxing Day 1983 when Jeff chandler headed the winner. As it stands Bolton are 19 wins to Wigan's 17. Just hoping everyone controls their emotions. The players no sendings off and no crowd trouble which has marred the last few fixtures between the clubs. The younger generation eh? Team news. Only 2 missing from evatts 24 first team squad. The unfortunate George Johnston out for the season and Dion Charles suspended for one game after being sent off on Tuesday night against Fleetwood. Böðvarsson and Toal are building up their fitness and one or both could be on the bench. Key selection issues. Will evatt stick a goalie on the bench and is it Jerome or Nlundulu to play up top with Adeboyejo. Another option Mendes Gomes to play off Adeboyejo. Also which 3 of the 5 midfielders will evatt pick today a position the quality in depth the squad seems strong. Early start so get moving. Kick Off 12.30.

There's a lot of changes that have got sorted late. The screens and new ad hordings are going to be up and running for the Derby game and I don't expect a proper Wanderers TV till at least January.

No injury concerns.

We've got Burton away tomorrow.
They sit bottom of the table, played 4 drawn 1 lost 3 what could possibly go wrong besides the streaming!!

You are probably right with your thoughts on that, but haven't we used a company that has already been used by other clubs?

It might be that our specifications for the set-up was different to what they have already achieved for other clubs but they are supposed to be the experts.

I suppose that it's better to get everything right even if it takes time, It's just a bit frustrating waiting for the finished product.

And according to their manager, getting players back on the field that have been out of the team for one reason or another.

Nothing short of a good win will be acceptable tomorrow, otherwise, the bells of doom and gloom will be chiming loudly.

B team loan Klaxon.

Max Conway goes to Rochdale on loan till January.

Hope he does well for them. He's the next cab off the youth rank according to a few.

Another b teamer goes out on loan. Hutchinson to Hyde. Quite low that level 7 of the football pyramid.

Probably not that low from where we are to where we are and his experience.

Also nice to see Nicky Spooner has the Hyde job.

This guy Liam Hatton must have been looking at my comments on this thread as he has stated the same as me on needing an enforcer in midfield and injecting some steel into the team.

I might sue him for plagiarism.

Personally I think it's all about the players doing their jobs properly and working as a team. That didn't happen against Wigan and an enforcer as such wouldn't have made any difference whatsoever the way Bolton didn't handle Wigan on the day. If any incoming business it needs to be a striker who scores goals as I don't see Nlundulu or Jerome doing either so if one of those go. Jerome move out with sadlier and John and or Nlundulu on loan to a league 2 club for a season as i do don't think he's quite up to league one at the moment. Forget Wigan now, getting my head round the Burton thread now.
