The Signs are there

that Celtic are starting to become a fast attacking football team again. I won't hold my breath but like many I feared a return, under Rodgers, to slow passing waiting on a gap to appear (which teams know how to defend against)

Rodgers claimed he wasn't happy with the application of the game plan and until recently I saw nothing to suggest it was anything other than the way we played when he left - dull. However, in the second half of the Dundee game and in the match my Livingston we played very good quick football.

Playing through the lines, quick passing with intent, getting beyond a tight defence - all very promising. Let's see how it progresses when we have our proper defence back in place.

I think we still need the emergence of a quality winger but for now it is getting there. I don't believe the return of Hatate to the team is coincidental with the improvement. He is critical to how quickly we play. I know some feel that he has off games but I actually think it is the little things he does that generally don't get noticed that make the difference rather then his 40 yard cutting passes. A bit like when Lambert played for us - you often didn't see what he did but when he was missing there was ahuge gap.

And to finish - Matt O'Reilly. He has been excellent since joining us but he seems to be going up a few levels. Similar to how Armstrong was under Rodgers.

On a Rangers perspective I haven't seen every minute of every game but I don't see the game plan other than to make it a battle in the middle of the pitch so that the full backs have space to push up, get the ball and cross it in - or to counter attack using Matondo or Sima's pace. Maybe Beale's style is more like what we had with Gordon Strachan in that hard work and effort got us over the line more often than not.

The "brains behind Gerrard" blamed Gio for where Rangers were at yet it was Gio that got more out of the squad and since Beale has made his signings they have lost any concept of being a solid team.

Though my stream is a couple minutes behind and that was a brilliant run and... Strange finish by Ridvan. Hopefully that kick starts his Rangers career the same way Borna's first goal did.

Heard about the first goal on the radio-all the commentators said it was a foul. Have seen a clip of it now and aye, it was a foul.

Lammers looks like one of those guys who'd be brilliant at fives because he's got great ball control in a tight space. Totally lost when on a full sized pitch though.

Comfortable in the end as livi lost their defensive belief after the freak OG. Still a lot of improvement needed when we're in possession though. I'd say Dessers and Lammers are running out of time but tbh I think they're only in the team due to a lack of any other options at this point. Sima was alright but still looks like a downgrade on Sakala.

Beales fault for making him do a press conf - the extra strain has taken it's toll.
