It is not without a little trepidation that we welcome the champions Manchester City to Molineux for a Premier League match up.

Both sides exited the Carabao cup in midweek but that's where the similarities end. City's 100% record does not look to be in any danger whilst Wolves hover above the relegation zone scrapping for points off of the teams around us.

The hope is that we can go toe to toe with them for an hour or so and frustrate them as we did with Liverpool and hope they have an off day. Hopefully Matheus Nunes will start and get the atmosphere going which will be fun, until he inevitably scores of course.

The following players could be in contention for starts after getting their chance to impress against Ipswich in midweek....

.... and Boubacar Traore.

It will be one for the local kids to tell their grandchildren about in fifty years time, they saw Haaland play at Molineux, like the old guys we hear going on about Di Stefano and Puskas.

Goldi's prediction - 0-3

Seems like things have gone a little pear shaped for Romain Saiss. He spent last season at Besiktas in Turkey but then had a falling out with their coach and was transferred to one of the clubs in Qatar. But he never played a game for them because they had already reached their limit of 7 foreign players. So he is now on loan at a Saudi club

A shame to see him wasting his ability in those crap leagues, as it is for most of those stars.

A bit confusing watching Villa play their Europa opponents who are wearing a similar kit to ours

But I do get confused easily, looking forward to Sunday although early start

Disappointing to read that Sasa is still thought to be some way away from being fit enough to play 90 minutes

Hope the journey, the beer and the game all make it a good day for you. A long day by the sound of it

Indeed. One could almost call it "an early start".
