Heb I went to that match at Maine Road. I mistakenly stood with the City fans who had moved from the end of the ground to the terracing on the side. When Lee scored after tons of abuse for the City fans I broke into the Small Faces song...I had to make a quick exit!

It doesn't seem right, he was 9 years younger than me, such a shame.

He was my first hero, well before he came to Derby, what a player, what a character.
Condolences to his family & friends 😢🌹

Enjoyed watching him back in the day

Made me chuckle when I read that he scored 35 goals for City one season, but 15 were penalties...I bet he dived for most of them!
