Celtic v Lazio

I think with defensive injuries the lineup will pretty much pick itself except that RW spot...

expecting taylor to drift inside and that left wing to be more exposed than james forrests wee pecker.

can we manage a win?

would a point be a good result?

will rangers fans get a chance to laugh for 3 seconds then remember their own striking misery and sigh sadly?

who knows

i say a striker, he missed 1 really good opportunity and didn't force a save on a half chance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well if Lammers is a striker then Maeda is practically Gerd Muller.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lammers is honking. At least Maeda offers something.

i thought the ref was pretty ridiculous last night as well btw.

there was a point in the first half where he stopped us playing twice to move the ball back.

but when they had a free kick they could take it from wherever.

Well fvcking said 👏

We don't have any luck in Europe. And by that I mean we are never given an easy ref. The Tallys did what they wanted last night, there should've been another three yellow cards for them and possibly a red.

And the ref in the Feyenoord game, fvkcing lunatic.

And the Maeda touch.. if that's not unlucky I don't know.what is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, the touch isn’t unlucky at all as he aimed to make contact.

Why he thought to do so is the thing that baffled me at the times
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is unlucky that he made contact with the ball.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s not if he purposely went to hit it 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty sure he himself was offside anyway, so even if he didn't make contact, offside could still have been given against him due to his involvement in the move leading up to Palma's strike

Is his arm offside.

Mr hartson 😀

Maeda needs to be on the left, especially against better teams.
He's not as effective on the right and Taylor needs two players to bail him out in Europe rather than just the one that he needs domestically.
He's badly exposed this season because Maeda is on the other side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Said that yesterday. Why was he on the right? And what's this "...we'll learn from it" boolschit? Sound familiar?

He wasn't and that's why the check took so long to see if Palma was off plus did Maeda touch it.

Sorry the line drawn offside call that I seen showed a wee baldy guy in an offside position...was actually Palma not Maeda

We have no luck whatsoever in Europe. None.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nothing to do with luck. We are simply not good enough. It’s not exactly a revelation
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s the insistence on playing in a similar style to what you do in the league.

Celtic need to be pragmatic in Europe to have any success and they never are
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was sheer bad luck and a mistake at the end of the game that cost us last night.

We were by far the better team for the entire game and really should've won it. The lack of quality in the final third hurt us (as it did last season). Nothing to do with not being pragmatic.

The ‘learning’ not mentioned by Celtic is to play European teams at their own game in the CL. Foreign teams know that European refs will stop the game if you pretend to be injured in your own penalty box (I.e. pretending to be injured). Fall about as though you’ve been shot as soon as you have been fouled. I. e. Hatate when he was punched and MOR when he was kicked in the head. These tactics win games even if they are not ethical. Play them at their own game is learning how to win. So yes let’s get better at that 👍

We might, just might, have put more effort in but that's about it? They were more skilled, we may have had more heart?

We made bigger mistakes and never lost a goal due to them so it is all in the round. A tad unfortunate, that's all.

Said before a ball was kicked, more points than last time would be a success. Stick by that.
