Ratcliffe buys 25%

So with Qatar dropping out it appears Jim is gonna buy 25%

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is to complete a deal for 25 per cent of Manchester United – which would see the Glazer family remain at the club – within days, following the withdrawal of Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani from the takeover battle.

….this will go down well

Just read Ineos want operational control, which is one of the two major issues with the Glazers.

Again, how would these reporters know ratcliffes demands?

It's all guesswork.

Naturally I would prefer the Qatar's bid, except I don't like them
And meh if sir Jim gets us.
Can't Simply Red afford us ?

Money’s too tight to mention apparently

And in Jim A new flame has come
And nothing he can do can do me wrong😆

They’d be holding you back for years

There’s no future for the club now.

Local businessman buys Man U and fixes the roof

We’ve all seen the consequences of thinking Jim’ll fix it… I expect the same outcome.

Man Utd takeover talks: Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos group wants control of football operations

If only SE85 understood what is written there instead of jumping to daft conclusions.

I am with GNev in that a clean break from the Glazers is what is needed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeh a clean break would be ideal but it looks like a 25% share is likely to happen. The BBC don't report these stories without info. So it looks as though Ineos do want to control football matters. Hopefully they can do a better job than what the Glazers have overseen.
