great first half but at half time a top coach will correct those errors and that was evident pretty much immediately.

I know coaches can over-think things sometimes but didn't see BR do anything to counter what we all pretty much expected & waited until the equaliser to start thinking hmmm things aren't going too well. Would rather we'd changed and given Simeone the thinking to do.

i think he thought we would weather the storm and then grow back into the game.

scored 8 minutes after the break to be fair, i did think he took too long after they equalised though.

real lack on inspiration on the bench, we need another CF.

Just ignoring the fact that GG wanted to be playing more regularly wich is why he eft, he wasn't sold out of us not wanting him

But why let the truth get in the way of a good headline?

I can understand why he left but Oh is not a patch on him. GG could have played alongside Kyogo to mix things up a bit. History now so we move on.

Was delighted with how we played last night, well maybe not so much with the second half but we haven't shown ourselves up as much as I feared and tbh have performed fairly decently despite what the table says otherwise. Now if the board would back BR instead of being gimps and give a few decent first team starters instead of projects then I can only see us improving even more (obvious I know).

Drop off in performance in the 2nd half was all about learning to pace themselves over 90+ minutes. Played so well in the 1st half and surprised Madrid but couldn't sustain it for much of the 2nd half. Post match quotes from some of the players said as much. Learning curve for BR too against elite opponents. If we win the league this season there will be minimum 8 games next season against mixed level teams.

They equalised in 50 mins after making two subs at half time. Hardly giving rodgers much chance their are you. He actually went 352 to counter them and should have won the game


Rodgers is an elite level manager and knows his stuff. Thats every game so far we've played well but luck isn't on our side
