Happy Old Age

I have just passed my first year as an OAP and am bored stiff.
I rent a single room in a multi-occupancy house (5) with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. It is OK, clean, and no problems with the other occupants although they are all young men working various factory/warehouse shift patterns. This means doors banging closed all day and night as they come and go.
I would like to relocate to somewhere on the coast where I could walk to the beach/cliffs and spend most of my time sea-fishing. The NW coast of Scotland or NE coast of England look favourite spots. My accommodation requirements are no more than I already have.
Any sensible ideas or information?

Campervan, I tells ya.

Scotland allows wild camping so you could just park up on a wild beach or remote cliff for as long as you want, with no rent to pay
