El Ghazi contract cancelled

El Ghazi had his contract cancelled today with Mainz for sticking to his morals, which by the way are nothing special - they are basic as having humanity, empathy and being against war crime murder of children.

Why is it that being anti-occupation, anti-genocide, anti-apartheid and calling out a state for war crimes can be so controversial? The crazy thing is there are thousands of Jews who are pro-Palestine!

Wonder when Spurs will take action against Solomon? Spoiler: never.

Well anyway, if the person who asked the question wants to find out the answer I've given them a steer on what to read up on.
Alternatively he/she can just decide based on the view which the other poster above formed of Muslims on his holiday to Turkiye (or Turkey as he calls it).

Crazy right, calling it Turkey after 48 years on this earth with that being the English spelling for a majority of that time.

If you answered Palestine to my first or second question then you are probably either so blinkered that you cannot separate an individual situation from the entirely justified horror about the current situation in Gaza, or you are merely mendacious.

I've also visited Turkey, but never Turkiye, perhaps because I speak English.

I don't know what you mean when you refer to an "individual situation". The fact that you don't know about the abuses which Arabic/Palestinian people have suffered and continue to suffer though - which you clearly don't - sadly doesn't mean they don't exist.
Arabs have been killed, tortured and abused by Israelis/Zionists since at least the 1940s. 750,000 of them (80% of their population) were killed or expelled in 1948, when zionists for instance poisoned arab wells and an estimated 600 Arab settlements were destroyed. Ex Israeli soldiers have been filmed apparently boasting about atrocities which they claim to have committed against Arabs. https://twitter.com/Trickyjabs/status/1718887609211011208?t=NvPLTs9PilIsZOlmeiGweQ&s=19 (I can't be sure about its authenticity but have seen someone verify the translation)
I haven't watched it because I don't want to become more passionate about it, but I suspect this gives a pretty detailed account of things:

The President of Israel has recently given a speech in which he held all people of Gaza responsible for 7th October.
The Prime Minister of Israel gave a speech I believe in recent days calling for by biblical reference the extermination of Amalek/ the Amalekites (I understand an historic opponent of zionism) specifically including children and infants.
The Security Minister of Israel had more than 50 criminal charges brought against him when he was younger including a conviction for inciting racism; he was charged after holding a sign translated as reading "Death to Arabs", and has quite recently asked police to shoot Arabs in the west bank after he pulled a gun out himself:

Here is former Labour MP Gerald Kauffman who was from a zionist background, admonishing the then Israeli government under the same PM as now and calling for a total arms ban to Israel, in which he observed that the lives of Palestinians were treated as being without value:

The Zionist movement (putting a national home for Jewish people slap in the middle of arab and mostly muslim territory) was a crackpot idea from the start, as was the west's backing of it.
The British championed the idea of a "national home" in Palestine in 1917, and clarified in 1938 that the idea was for Jewish home within and part of a majority Arab state.
They were thanked for this, and for helping relocation of people from Europe to Palestine and for losing close to 500,000 people fighting the Germans in WW2, by being shot and bombed by zionist terrorists within 25 years of the migration policy being enacted. The secretary of state for the colonies was assassinated by zionist extremists who also killed British soldiers and police in Palestine whilst Britain was fighting WW2, and who later blew up the British HQ in Jerusalem.
The British tried to cap Jewish immigration to Palestine and called for the creation of an arab state, as they had promised King Hussein/Prince Faisal in 1916, but the US threatened Britain with sanctions and demanded immigration was increased.
The British never backed an independent Jewish nation (or the expulsion of 3/4 of a million Arabs from their own land). That was proposed by the UN and endorsed by USA and USSR, but the whole idea was flawed and a disaster in the making from the start.
That of course doesn't excuse atrocities committed since in the name of either cause, or the persecution of arabic people today by the Israeli government and by settlers in the west bank which is well documented.
I understand that many Jewish people protest against this oppression, including many orthodox Jewish people in Israel, but it still happens, including Palestinians being killed every year.
The only possible way forward is to remove extremists from power on both sides, and stop both sides being educated in hate of the other from primary school onwards.

The demonstrations currently blighting our country and others across the globe did not arise in a vacuum. There was no invasion of Gaza immediately before 7th October and the Israeli invasion (whether justified or not) arose as a direct response to the inhuman and absolutely barbaric actions of Hamas on that day.

Hamas knew what the reaction would be but seem to care less for Palestinian civilians that even Israel.

Am sorry to hear that your country has been blighted by people protesting about a defenceless child being killed every 10 minutes for 3+ weeks by Israeli heavy weapons including those supplied to them by your country CromulentMart. It must be a very difficult time for you.

Don't be so facile. I'm not comparing the UK with Palestine. It must be a living hell in Palestine. All I am saying is that Hamas knew what would happen in retaliation for 7th October and cared less about it than Israel.
