Bolton Wanderers v Blackpool

The Gary Madine derby as Blackpool visit the toughsheet sheet for the first time since 2019, over 22000 expected. Bolton in 3rd only separated from 2nd place Oxford by gd and Blackpool in 8th, 2 points from the play offs. Bolton with a new first team coach Matt craddock will be looking for the 3 points. Hopefully the manager of the month curse, playing against a side with a large following jinxes can be overcome plus no slacking the last league match before yet another international break. This fixture steeped in history. Some notable ones.1953 cup final 4-3 to Blackpool in the Matthews final but stan mortensen scored an hat trick! 2-2 at the Reebok in the one season both were in the premier league. Ian evatt scored for Blackpool that day. 1989. A memorable aggregate 2-1 at Bloomfield Road when Bolton got to Wembley for the Sherpa van final. 2-2 the last game of the season in 2013. Bolton needed a win to get in the play offs. Managed by the awful Dougie Freedman he tinkered once too often and not going up first time to the premier league kick started the financial meltdown that nearly finished the club. Blackpool fans celebrated that day, they had nothing to play for. Team news. Out injured Johnston, Dempsey, Coleman. Jones and Morley doubtful. Ashworth is fit. Likely starting 11. Baxter. Forrester Santos Toal. Dacres-cogley Maghoma Sheehan Thomason, Williams. Adeboyejo Charles. Kick off 3pm.

Top tier view yesterday but missed my normal behind the goal view for the Thomason strike. Really strange the normal YouTube highlights not up yet.

Forrester “He has tweaked his knee a little bit"

That does sound like a suspicious cone injury to me.

I hope he won't be out for long. IE recons he won't be missing for long, but you know how these small things sometimes turn out to be something more.

I wonder if Rico has let Jordan Rhodes out of his pocket yet?

Did you guys see Gary Madine on The Voice last night? 4 shots, none on target, subbed off to boos.

Well, if it wasn't him they were separated at birth

Glad I missed the washing machine last night, I've not much time for telly watching on a Sunday.
How we got so much for that donkey I'll never know.

The problem is, we didn't get the money, wasn't it the one who can't be named who pocketed the cash?

Who's excited and looking forward to the game away at Stockport tomoorow night?

Don't forget; It's a 7.30pm kick off.

I didn't like hearing both Jones and Morley played against Blackpool despite carrying knocks.
IE likes to push his luck with the wounded doesn't he.

Might have to play tomorrow with the absences. Some b teamers out on loan as well. Will go through the options on the Stockport match thread.

We didn't have a large squad at the beginning of the season, with the international games it's left us threadbare and having to rely on injured players and the B team players.

I seem to remember Evatt saying that money would be made available after the success of the bond sale. Perhaps we should have spent a little bit more to give us a cushion for the expected injuries that always occur.

We have coped reasonably well up to now, barring the odd hiccup but we have a long way to go yet.
