I’ll also add that at this level you can’t play a front 6 without a defensive bone in their bodies and expect to get away with it … as I’ve said consistently on here for a long time.

Saw most of the first half and it was a poor game. We had zero attacking threat. Was listening to the radio at half time, and they mentioned how much possession we had. Thankfully, one of them eventually pointed out that most of that was between the back four-as was most of our successful passes.
We blew it in the summer with our signings. We’ve had a bit of bad luck with injuries, but so do most teams. We’ve played well in patches in European games, but it’s not enough. To give us some kind of chance of getting out the group stages, we need at least half a dozen decent new players-and that’s just not happening.
Still-bank balance looks decent.

Lazio players were athletes. When they wanted to burst past a player they mostly could. When they passed they moved. When they moved they moved with purpose leaving us in their wake. Stuff we ought to be able to coach to do ourselves even if we struggle to contain the opposition doing it.
Ciro still shows the skills of a €50m striker. Lazio still have a €300m squad playing in a top 5 league. Hey ho. Can't get upset about it though Yang did again try his best to turn me.
Feyenoord nothing to play for in the final dead rubber so they might send their B team to play ours? Still decent money for a win. Any improvement over last year's two points is a bonus. It is as predictable as our Scottish cup.

for me this sums it up perfectly, but the biggest signing we blew was the manager.
he is responsible for the ball constantly going between mcgregor and our keeper. It's him, it's his phish poor, boring as fvck tactics.
he's not an elite manager, he's a boring manager and an egomaniac into the bargain.
wants quality - he got a 9 million pound striker and we still passed it about the back 4, he's phish, get him to fvck.
