IT'S FINALS NIGHT!!!!
What an amazing tournament so far. We have seen big names fall early, we have seen unfancied players go far. We haven't seen a 9 darter, but still time for that...
Pre-tournament favourite and form player Luke Humphries is in the final, but he has had a few scares along the way. Going 3-1 to Pietreczko in a first to 4, going 2-0 down to Cullen before a sudden death leg victory against the throw. His form has been building though, and a comfortable 5-1 over Chisnall preceded a whitewash over Williams in the semi final. A semi final average of 108.74 and 60% checkout success show how in form he now is.
Luke Littler has been on fire since day 1. 3-0 over Kist before a 3-1 over Gilding and 4-1 over Campbell set up a meeting with Raymond van Barneveld. Barney offered little resistance and Littler won 4-1. With all the fancied players falling, Littler found himself against Dolan in the Quarter. Dolan had put out Price and Anderson, but found the 16 year old too good. 5-1 to Littler and a semi with Cross. Many felt this was the first real test, the number 8 in the world against the 164th ranked player. And for the first time Littler found himself in a bit of trouble, 1 set down and 2-1 down in the second. It proved the only test, as Littler stormed back with a 106.05 average to defeat Cross 6-2.
It is set to be a great final. Two players hitting 105+ averages, taking out high checks (Humphries wins this with his big fish last night) and both desperate to take home the title for the first time.

Has LL not said that he's not sure if he want to play in the PL - might be a lot for him to take in at this early stage, is his thinking i believe

Think right now stuff like school, life lessons, generally learning the ropes, dealing with the media and social media should be his priority. Winning championships should be his thing in his 20s

Will they change format as they oft do?
Will they get Littler in?
Will Anderson get a go to get the Scottish crowds in?
Does Wright survive his poor form?

I was half expecting him and his people to turn it down. He is already talking about sitting out a few pro-tours, which obviously have OoM points unlike PL.
But the lure of the big stage and the experience (and money) that goes with it was clearly too much.

Littler will thrive in the PL.
Peter Wright is the strangest choice IMO.
