I’m trying not to sound bitter. I really am. But that was beyond disappointing. Hopes up to dashed and then dashed again. Spawn? Don’t get me started.
The special effects were beyond ropey in places and the title character himself looked like a half-chewed blackcurrant Sports Mixture. The best bit by far was John Lugeiziamo. Apparently he ate real maggots in the role.
Anyway. Todd McFarlane might be a bit of a toolbag - imagine arguing with Neil Gaiman - but his comic deserves a much better adaptation. Certainly visually. His artwork is always stunning.
Several decades later and I’m still miffed.

If I've paid to go and watch a film at the cinema then I'll see it through, no matter how bad it is.
Spawn is the exception. It's the only film I've ever walked out on. Utter dog-sh*t.

The sandman series on Netflix stood up well , one or two issues with it but overall a good adaption. Wish Lucifer should had been given the same treatment
Rumours they are making a Saga series , something else to be disappointed about

I read the first three or so Sagas - I actually think on your recommendation - and then kind of forgot to get back to it. But even then I can't see it being filmable with any kind of justice.
Godzilla Minus One is absolutely killing it at the moment. I might go see that this weekend.
