Excellent newsπŸ‘

It is good news, glad to see he's committed his future to the club and it offers him stability. Mentally he's different to how I imagined him ( possibly from previous impression whilst at Cardiff). He's certainly a much warmer person and does have a good bond with JJ running over to celebrate with him. He's done well in the two seasons with and it was harsh when fans were on his back early season.

Flip side to that I'd have preferred a one year extension but no more than two so that we're not stuck with 34+ yr olds in the Championship. ( Should we achieve our main target)

I do hope this encourages Bird to sign so that we can benefit from selling him close season and get much needed funds. Given we're linked to another DM it is a wonder if P Warne is preparing to let him leave in Jan and getting necessary reinforcement in.

GK issue. Listening to RD I find it's a mountain in a molehill issue. He's been very good for us ( Goldsmith) but performances may well have dipped in recent times and no one is untouchable. Let's see how Vickers does in the next 5+ games and go from there. The sentimental Desi would like to see Vickers stay and complete the season given his personal tragedy.

Do we need a another striker dilemma? I've been wondering about this. If JJ remains and gets fitter and Collins now in really good form do we require a third striker who will be expecting game time ? Barks for me is the Ideal option for a run of games to play as a CF and a winger is more necessary.

I know I've focused on German players recently ( as Ang would confirm) but wanted to say it was sad to read of Franz Beckenbauer's passing. May not be every old school English football fans favourite but I personally didn't have an issue with him. Quality footballer.

You've been looking at too many watches, Desi.

Apparently Paull Warne is still keen on Michael Smith from sheffield.
