Gerrard has extended his contract until 2027.

He’s worth tens of millions. Why on earth is he spending four years of his life out there?

Maybe he’s hoping that it’s long enough for people to forget what a sheite manager is, and he might pick up a PL job.

I'm not going to criticise Henderson because he'll be a United player by the end of the season now he's at Ajax.

They haven't won in 2 months and if he doesn't turn it around they'll have to sack him for probably an even bigger pay-out than he would have got.

It's basically free money for Gerrard whatever happens.

Bottom line is he isn't a good enough manager to get a decent job and get paid what he can in SA.

I believe he is getting paid more per week now than he ever did as a player.

His team are in 8th position, 28 points behind top spot. He is getting paid more than he ever has before for failing. Zero pressue on him. I'd take the new contract too.

I suspect the new contract offer is to try and bait away rumours that Henderson leaving is a sign that their recruits are now regretting the move.
