Moyes

I'm watching the West Ham Arsenal game and my god is David Moyes such a boring manager.

If I was a fan I would be livid.

West Ham fans most of you must surely want him gone this summer?

European trophy or not. This is type of football is garbage.

Reminds me of our Mourinho and Conte days.

Thank god there are managers who refuse to play this kind of football.

Think they should be all over getting Potter in. They have a decent squad and he’d do well imo

West Spammers get battered everywhere they go, even at their ground

Peeved off a bit as I was hoping for a good game but within half an hour it was obvious West Spammers have decided to take a day off collectively!

Hope Villa v Utd will be better, but more tasty!!

Imagine if your greatest rivals didn’t give a monkeys about you. I mean at least arsenal hate us as much as we hate them, I barely even notice West Ham most of the time. Always find their obsession with us bizarre. Sad how they turn up twice a season really…

The Scammers were pathetic v Woolwich, watch them turn up for their cup final v Spurs at the dog track stadium though

Bowen must regret signing that new 7 year contract, he has given Wet 5ham all the power, its a shame because I would like him at Spurs but they will want silly money for him now. Unfortunately Bowen will be stuck there picking up his 120K a week

To be fair to Moyes he had Benrahma and Fornals taken from him and only a rusty Phillips brought in - once again the West Ham owners showing zero ambition in the Jan market - he had them 6th at that point.

As good as their attacking players are, they have been run into the ground because they do not have any strength in depth and they are in Europe - I fancy they might have a big old slide now and finish 10th ish. I’m not sure they will even be able to raise their game for us as usual, they’ve Jeff all left in the tank

I think there has been a shift in recent years in how tolerant fans are of a certain type of football and I'm not sure its entirely justified. It depends on how big a side you are. At Spurs, I hated the Jose / Conte eras because we were a big enough club not to have to play that way. We've traditionally had more success going for it and once you go past a certain threshold in terms of money spent, I think fans are justified in not wanting to play a certain brand of football. I still find it staggering that with all the money United have spent, they're still playing counter-attacking passive football. To me, that's crazy. If you spend a billion, not having the ball is almost an insult.

I'm not sure the same thing can be said of West Ham and, for example, Palace. It wasn't that long ago that West Ham were flirting with relegation so they'd be wise to consider the fact that being above United until recently was a bloody good performance, regardless of the football on offer. You've had it a lot, lot worse but apparently you should be playing better stuff. I do think that any change in manager at West Ham will see a big dip, particularly if they're steadfast in their determination to play a certain way. The squad they have is built for the Moyes style. They won't be able to shift to a more expansive way of playing without a high turnover in players, which no one can afford right now. Same for Palace. They're on a record run of top flight seasons yet they're not happy with Roy. What on earth do these clubs expect. I think Pep has changed the league for the better but one of the down sides to his revolution is that fans of every club want to play the way he does but unless you have the players, it's just not possible. West Ham and Palace would do well to remember that. Have they completely forgotten what happened when De Boer came in?
