Eddie's Done Ain't He?

That's it lads...that's the article in a nutshell lol

The last few games have shown that the "Eddie replaces Jesus when injured" experiment is finished, finito, donezo, caput lol

The question now is how much we'll get for him in the Summer? I'm thinking there'll be a Eddie plus $40 million type deal for Toney ?

Sidenote...I'm a afraid I'll be soon making an "ESR's done" article in not long also...I know we have sentiment and love for players, but them's the breaks in "big boy clubs"

Thoughts?

Eddie Nketiah is not a top 4 team striker & he never has been - playing for bottom half PL teams is the absolute zenith of his ability - perhaps even the Championship...

If we get a transfer fee at all for him I'll be surprised.

Think only if he's willing to take a big pay cut would we get money for him.

West Ham and Palace both wanted him this Jan, knowing his wages and our £30m+ valuation.

I'd be genuinely surprised if that was remotely true.

Sadly some people's hate leaves them unable to form a rational thought process.

Called it when he signed that deal that he'd leave on free at the end of his contract having failed to make his mark on the side and been unable to shift due to wages.

Really hope I'm wrong obviously.

Just look at other deals that have happened. Palace signed that no mark Adam Wharton for like £20m, and you think they wouldn't give us at least the same for Nketiah?

Should be £30m minimum I think, and think there will be a few clubs happy to hand that over for him

Pretty sure Palace pay Dean Henderson £100k a week as well, so the idea Nketiahs wages will make it impossible doesn't sit right (Eddie is very likely to be open to less wages if we bring in another striker ahead of him anyway). They bumped Olise up to 100k as well - and if he can get fit there is a chance they will cash in on him (same for Eze).
And Palace aren't the only team looking for a striker, and being an England International striker only adds to his attraction.
