so you'd lose money that way instead?

as in, take the hit there and then? - wouldn't that also affect FFP?

and wouldn't that lose any chance what so ever of a player recovering his value?

Complete clear out, instead we now have a bunch of players coming back, we dont want, reputations down the toilet on big money.

-----

do get this bit tbf

can we not sell them at a loss now anyway?

are there contracts run down another year and closer to being able to get rid?

lets try and use Aronson as an example, seems a good place to start.

end of last season, his value would be nohting, think we all agree on that.

selling him a quid, would lose 25 million... agree?

if on loan, and has a great season, settles in to his new club and they want to buy him for a couple of million more than he was worth... isn;t that better than just gving him away at the start of last season.

of course, he's pants, and prob worth the same

but in theory, I mean?

No I think he still had a decent reputation. Still young, international, actually played alot of games in prem. Id have still expected to get decent fee for him last summer

Roll on a season, barely had a kick at a poor German side, and reputation has really slid.

sometimes teams need to take a hit on players who don't, for what ever reason, live up to expectations. and there are many many reasons why, just how it is, unfortunately......

can you imagine how much cfc have lost over the years and the players they have let go because deemed not good enough / happy etc....

kdb
sala
rice
to name a few.....

us.......
seaman
caspa
erwin
smith
etc........

LIW... agree his reputation slid further, but you're not telling me we could of got a decent fee for him in August surely?

he's a year older, still young - and could have well played a good season, (I know he hasn't)

do you think the hope was he found his reputation again, and therefore would command a bigger selling fee?

"if on loan, and has a great season, settles in to his new club and they want to buy him for a couple of million more than he was worth... isn;t that better than just gving him away at the start of last season."

Spit, that is part of the problem, these players went on loans that the club had no say in, if these deals weren't made than we might have been able to sell them at the end of last season, but with these deals we had no choice but to let them go on loan, that is why so many kicked us,(some threats of courts!)to get moves to top leagues and not drop to the championship, they had a way out!..

Most ain't proving to be as good as we'd hoped so we won't be getting better money for them!..

Paying their wages, if the club taking them on says yes to full wages, than great, if not, than we have to pay the rest!..

I know the club wasn't paying towards Kocks wages!..

But the players returning, the club could try and sell, but the returning players might not want it so a move would have to be a good one for them or we're stuck!..

These players are out on loan, so they are still Leeds players and any returning means they'll be classed as first team players and make it hard for any deals Farke might be hoping for!..

Finally! 👌 at long last, I had no idea the club had no choice, and it took Germany of all people to hit it home 😂😂

That’s fair enough! Let’s hope we get lucky with a few of them then

But greenwood ego the right call
