The Good: It was a good game of football…until we ran out of steam. We’ve played better, but certainly did enough to take it to ET.
The Bad: Our fitness levels! Did we have one eye on Liverpool?
The Ugly: VAR again!! Legal in one game (the Cup final), not legal in this one. All it needs is consistency / rules clearly defining.

Wow…talk about opposite ends of the football table, both in form and position!
Prediction:
Liverpool could see the return of a number of players from injury and those rested in midweek. Their young players showing that they can make the step-up. Kelleher (a target of ours) in goal.
For us to get anything out of the game we need to ensure we don’t give away any free kicks and don’t rely on VAR.
I’m not sure I can handle another non-VAR check or a top six suited decision. Just a fair game of football and an equal playing field. If that happens….
….a 2-2 draw. If it doesn’t…a 3-1 loss.
Final Words: COYR!!! We need this (and I’d love to dent Klopp’s promotion bid).

Watch the highlights and then tell me if Forest had done that would you be a) saying well played or b) saying that Forest are the biggest cheats in the league ? It does feel unjust when a defender goes down with a ‘head injury’ for all of about 5 seconds, Forest have the ball in a promising position, but the ball isn’t given back to Forest by the ref, surely it should be. Failing that the ball should be returned to the place where it was when the ref blew.
We had our chances today, yet again failed to take them, mainly via Elanga, and then right at the death failed to do the basics.
This game could well be season defining for both teams, and obviously for different reasons.

One last thing, either both shouts were penalties or neither were. By the book they should both be, but according to todays officiating neither were ever going to be given, so no real advantage to either side.

Nobody has had a decision against Varpool since that Spurs match and the human error with an offside goal, the following fortnight long outpouring of grief and hard luck stories which were purposely engineered has certainly done its job.
