Northampton Town 1 - 0 Derby County

NORTHAMPTON TOWN v DERBY COUNTY League 1 #40

Saturday 22nd March 2024, 1500 Sixfields Stadium, Northampton

Dare to dream or the Derby Way? Forgive my glass half empty but I still cannot relax after a most pleasing win v Bolton which we did not really deserve to win......or draw......and dfinitely not lose. Can't we just stop the league now?

As rumours abound of Derby fans looking to appeal the 4 point deduction incurred by our cheating neighbours Notts - it's too little , we have a date in Northampton against a middling team who will still cause us problems

We're down to the marrow with recognised forwards, so it was good to see Wilson chip in with a winner. I know Collz is back on grass but not really close to a return. Reg's may take even longer.

It's a sell out for the away fans on Saturday - so another record crowd for the home side. Technically, it's an East Midlands derby and not too far to travel.

Still, you never know.

Any birthdays this weekend?

Team: Wildsmith (GK), Wilson, Hourihane (C), Bradley, Cashin, Waghorn, Mendez-Laing, Thompson, Sibley, Adams, Nelson

Subs: Loach (GK), Ward, Radcliffe, Elder, Smith, Blackett-Taylor, Washington
