PED's are rife in sport and that Liverpool team definitely led the way in recent times (as did Peps barca team around 2010).

Unless I'm mistaken, back then there was still no blood sampling in football, so doping agencies could only detect drugs that were traceable in urine. It would have been impossible at the time to detect substances like EPO, which were and had been in widespread use for about a decade across virtually every sport where increased stamina provided an advantage.

The doping bit is probably what I'd least take exception to in Guardiola's case, because I'm convinced that pretty much everyone would have been at it at the time.

Its literally been a thing in the public sphere. I'm not saying he is guilty or anything, just saying that its something that has come up a few times in his career.
