What do we think of it. This isn't the 58th article about ETH, but the
players
You see I'm getting optimistic, so how about you.
First, and not least, in Lisandro, Rasmus, Garnacho and Mainoo we
have four young players who will only get better, and form the nucleus of our team in the future.
Then keeper, Onana, who knows, not me, but he's getting better.
Full backs, AWB and Dalot cover the right, and not too bad.
Luke Shaw very good on the left.
Harry to partner Lisandro imo.
Bruno and Rashford complete the attack.
So what jumps out is we need a defensive midfielder, because imo Casemiro's legs have gone.
The next thing to address is cover. Ideally we want people who can come in and do a good job if the number one is injured.
The positions that appear obvious are, keeper, LB, both mids and CF.
I think our first team, all fit and firing are top notch.
But our squad isn't.
So viewpoints please.
Finally I want to see us play with the same intensity we showed against Liverpool, in which case we will win many more, starting tomorrow.

We need to see which players are staying and who is going this summer first. And that includes the manager.
Im sure INEOS know all this already and are planning for the big changes to come, already.
Lets hope for a bounce from the Cup results vs Liverpool.
However if United lose at Brentford tomorrow, (then the prospect of playing Chelsea away and Pool at home over 3 days), things will become much clearer and probably start changing even sooner!

One more transfer window at the very least I think. Too many things to fix at this club, last thing we need is another reset on the footballing front. This is unlikely to please the select few idiots though, 52. But hey ho!

why dont you stop calling everybody else who has a differegt point of view than you, thick EVERY time you post and join in these discussions.
However it IS one step up from calling everybody peados who you called those who disagreed with last time you were let loose on here by admin (when you wanted the manager sacked and to feck off where he game from) before you finally got banned.

One more window is going to achieve what though?
He signed Casemiro who already needs replacing.
Antony is his big money signing and is never going to cut it here.
Onana has been very hit and miss and is the main reason we came 4th in a bog standard CL group.
Mount has been a disaster and whilst ETH can't be blamed for the injuries......nobody really wanted Mount to begin with really.
Hojlund has some potential, true, but let's be honest we overpaid for him and he's not yet the player to lead a line for a team desperately trying to get back into the title picture.
One more window isn't going to change a great deal I'm afraid.

We know that INEOS wont spend a penny this coming window under the same structure and people that United have been pizzing money up the wall prior to their arrival. So I expect a more sensible approach to recruitment than previous windows who ever the manager is after the Euros.
Casemiro will probably go. As will Varane and Eriksen. That will reduce Uniteds wage bill a lot. But all 3 will need replacing though. We also need another CF. to help out Hojland. So I expect others in the squad will have to be sold. Sancho has to go too. As does Greenwood.
Big summer coming up.

I have always that the squad is pretty decent but needs some obvious changes, although the wholesale ones that some people are calling for is unnecessary and unrealistic.
Onana is improving, I'm still not convinced, but it's less of a concern than other areas for next season.
A top class CB is on everyone's wish list, Martinez can hopefully stay fit, and for me Varane and Maguire can form part of a good squad. Dalot, AWB, Shaw and Malacia as full backs are good enough, once again about keeping them fit, but not immediate concern for me.
We desperately need someone beside Mainoo, McT is good back-up. Casemiro is past it, but could maybe stay as a squad player, albeit expensive one. Bruno is good enough for me and Mount, if can find form, backs him up.
I really believe Rashy, Hojlund and Garnacho could and should be a formidable front 3 - they have shown flashes this season, but want them to really threaten throughout the whole of next. We need some support up there, someone who can across the front line, and it seems inevitable that Antony stays, and Amad will hopefully develop more.
So basically a CB, CM and versatile forward.
Whether it be ETH or someone else, if we can get those 3 players in, we really should make good progress next year

Onana gets a 2nd season to prove himself. Question marks over the back up GK as hardly used.
I’d give Shaw and Malacia another season, but should they struggle with injuries, bring a LB in during Jan window.
We need at least 1 CB, maybe 2, depending on what happens with Varane.
Dalot is getting better and better for me, with AWB a good option. I’d give AWB another season.
Mainoo looks a future star, and Casemiros drop off has been exaggerated for me, but we need another player to rotate with these 2.
Bruno is the main man in the AM position. Mount will be like a new signing, and Mctom is a good goal scoring option from the bench. Amad can also play AM.
Garnacho is a future star and starts when fit, with Rashford given another season to prove himself.
Greenwood is good enough to start, but it’s unclear if he will return. Antony gets another season. Pellistri clearly hasn’t impressed enough, so maybe a RW is required depending on outgoings.
I really rate Hohjlund, but we need another CF to share the load.
So there we go. For me, the priorities this Summer should be
CB, DM and CF.

RDD most off the players you 'give another season' to are on highly paid long term contracts. They get at least 'another season' if you like it or not.
