(Just want to start this by saying I am not having a go at Man City)
Can someone please explain to me what Jack Grealish is good at? Or has ever been good at?? Going back years, since he started breaking through at Villa, the media in this country have worshipped the ground he walks upon; yet when you cast your eyes upon him on the pitch you have to always question why.
Is he good at crossing? No
Is he fast? No
Is he a goalscorer? No
Is he very creative? No
Is he good at dribbling? No
Is he good at taking his man on? No
Yet for some reason, despite doing next to nothing at City for years, he's never called a flop in the media or called out by any of the big pundits. Why?? Pep spent 100 million on him and I don't think he's ever even reached double figures for goals or assists in a single year at City. I'd actually be intrigued to see how many goals and assists he's racked up since he joined them because it can't be that many.
For £100 million he's been a seriously underwhelming flop, yet our media and pundits constantly talk about how 'oh he's a great lad' over and over, plus other generic labels like 'he's meant to be a cracking character in the dressing room, he gets players laughing' all of which have nothing to do with actual footballing talent. What about his ability on the pitch? How does him being a great lad help the fact he's terrible?? Never done anything for England either.
It really does go to show how the media will always protect players that, for some reason, they love. There have been a few players who seem to be in the media protection racket and Grealish is the chosen one of this generation. Honestly if Antony had the media onside like Grealish does, he'd be labelled the new Rivaldo every other week.
Does anyone actually rate Grealish and if so, what is he actually good at? Except maybe diving.

Allow me to correct you, the fee was £75m plus add-ons related to the Premier and Champions Leagues.
Of course, Villa have been able to collect those extras

Where? Tbf he seems a nice lad. Stupid and thick but nice enough and does a lot to help disabled kids which is a great thing.
