What the ACTUAL FK!

Soooo...its official, if an arsenal players decides to handball in the Penalty area, it's all good....no worries play on son!!

1st...Anfield, Odengaard or whatever his fkn name is, a sweet almost 360⁰ NBA move in the penalty area, yeah that's ok ball, hand a second or so move on

2..Actual WTF! Ref blows whistle arsenal gk passes to defender...and ..wait for it...defender ACTUALLY PICKS THE BALL UP, yeah that's fine too!!

So we all know, if your from N fkn London you can cheat, whether you play in red or white, VAR or picking the ball up....no fkn worries.

Fkn disgrace🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

It’s a weird one, think the ref gets a bit of discretion on these things, but yeah Arsenal very lucky.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd like to know which part of the rules gives leeway for a ref to completely overlook such an intentional case.

I would fully expect the ref to be put in the freezer for this one.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

We’ve all seen the ref blow for a corner and then stop when there’s jostling in the box, etc.

It’s not a great situation but I’m not sure I’d want a penalty to be awarded for that myself.

Champions League final against Man United. Scores level (or Liverpool trailing by a goal) in the final minutes of stoppage time. Don't tell me you aren't going to scream blue murder if you don't get that pen.

I can't say on the jostling scenario that I've ever noticed the situation after the ref has blown the whistle an not before, but I'd argue that the ball isn't actually live until the corner kicker has actually put the ball into play. But Raya had played the ball. From that moment on, it has to be considered a live play situation. I just don't see how it can't be.

I don’t necessarily disagree IOAG, just not sure a penalty for that incident, no advantage gained, is worth a penalty.

It’s a tricky one though, for sure.

I agree it would be the stupidest way ever to give a penalty away, but I honestly don't see the ambiguity. I'd be totally gutted if a Madrid player had done the same, but it wouldn't change my opinion on the fact it is a penalty any day and every day.

I disagree with the ref being able to randomly make up an interpretation of the rule mid-game. He said it was a kid's mistake, but this is a CL ko game. You can't officiate it with the same degree of leniency you'd afford the under 7s.

Yeah you’re probably right tbf. I don’t even know why he picked it up!

Where's the outrage for Kane not getting a red card for smashing Gabriel in the face. Come on at least try and provide a balanced view and not just pick one bit to fuel the narrative that you've been hard done by in the past.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's because the handball decision is one of the most astonishing calls you'll ever see on a football pitch.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah the Kane incident is something not as alien to football as the handball incident.

Kane should have got red ….lhow he got away with that, he even checked where the player was …var should have sent the ref to the screen on that

The Saka dive was embarrassing….he basically kicked the keeper

The penalty for the handball, it’s a clear pen all day long ….you can’t pick the ball up after play has restarted

Love to see an arsenal fan say that’s not a penalty at the other end

Was a great game for a neutral though

Kane's always been a pretty sneaky player, tbf. Dunno why, but it seems to have gone under the radar quite a bit. Maybe because he's been so integral to the England team for so long.

I've only just seen Saka's dive.

Should be punished retrospectively for the protests.

posted 3 weeks, 5 days ago

Dunno about the protests, but it's a yellow all day long for his brazen attempt to con the ref. Any UK/English media adopting the 'penalty' line is merely exhibiting its pro-English bias.
